THINGS TO CARRY WHEN REPORTING AS A FIRST YEAR


STUDENT
Kindly note
Some of the things can be bought within the school area, therefore
do not panic.
1. Academically
• Original NRC
• Grade 12 certificate or statement of results original
• Admission letter
• Phone (64+ GB compulsory)
• Laptop (optional but helpful)
2. Stationery
• At least 3 hardcover books
• Stapler
• Ream of A4 paper
• Pen and pencil
• Ruler
• Calculator
• Record keeping folders
3. Toiletry
• Toothpaste
• Teeth brush
• Body lotion
• Bathing soap
• Deodorants
• Bathing tile
• Face cloth
• Toilet paper
• Sanitary stuff for females
4. Laundry
• Detergents
• Washing basket, bucket and basin (mini)
• Pegs
• Pressing iron (optional)
5. Accommodation
• Beddings (to withstand all Zambian seasons) No
mattresses

• Small bin (optional but vital)

• Trunk (optional but vital)
8. Self-catering
• Food to sustain your living for the semester progression
• Catering utensils (at least 2 pots, 1 knife, sauce pan, spoon,
folk etc

• Two plate cooker

9. non-self-catering

a) Do not be scared or feel shy of reporting with a lot of


things, they are all necessary.

I wish you good luck on the pursuit of vital careers, remember to


live by GOD’s principles and abide by your parent’s values and
ethics. We have seen people being excited and fail to produce
impressive grades. Know the reason why you have been
admitted at the institution, follow its rules and regulations for
you to have a conducive learning environment. You are now
an adult, henceforth know what to do at the right time.
Remember you have a future to secure, it’s time to work extra
hard unlike having leisure in university. Remember you are
competing with the whole world’s job opportunities. Welcome
