MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT
NEEDLE DROP POSITION
WHEN THE STRAIGHT STITCH IS SELECTED, THE NEEDLE SHOULD BE AT THE CENTER OF THE HOLE OF
THE NEEDLE PLATE. WHEN THE MAXIMUM ZIGZAG WIDTH (7.0) IS SELECTED, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE
NEEDLE AND THE EDGE OF THE HOLE OF THE NEEDLE PLATE AT THE RIGHT AND LEFT NEEDLE
POSITIONS SHOULD BE 0.2 mmOR MORE AS SHOWN IN FIG. 2.

1. OPEN THE FACE PLATE.


CHECK THE NEEDLE DROP POSITION ON THE
STITCH PATTERN ( ) AND ZIGZAG STITCH ( )
WITH MAXIMUM WIDTH.
HEXAGONAL
SOCKET SCREW (A) 2. LOOSEN THE HEXAGONAL SOCKET SCREW (A)
JUST ENOUGH TO TURN THE ECCENTRIC PIN (B).
ADJUST THE NEEDLE DROP POSITION BY
TURNING THE ECCENTRIC PIN. THE DIRECTION
THREADER OF THE ECCENTRIC PIN (B) SHOULD BE AS
LEVER SHOWN IN FIG. 1.

3. TIGHTEN THE HEXAGONAL SOCKET SCREW (A).


CHECK THE CENTER NEEDLE POSITION SENSOR.

WHEN THE PRESSER FOOT IS LIFTED, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SURFACE OF THE NEEDLE PLATE AND

1. ATTACH THE ZIGZAG FOOT A.

WHEN THE PRESSER BAR IS LOWERED, THE PRESSER FOOT SHOULD BE PARALLEL WITH THE SLOTS FOR
THE FEED DOGS.
1. LOOSEN THE SETSCREW ON THE ROTATION
STOPPER WHILE THE PRESSER FOOT HOLDING
ROTATION STOPPER THE BLOCK (A) (SEE PAGE 9 FOR THE BLOCK
SETSCREW
(A)).
ADJUST THE DIRECTION OF THE PRESSER BAR.
THE GAP BETWEEN THE BLOCK AND THE
ROTATION STOPPER MUST BE 0.3 mm.

2. REMOVE THE BLOCK (A). LOWER THE PRESSER


GAP FOOT TO CHECK THE DIRECTION OF THE
0.3 mm PRESSER FOOT. THE SLOTS FOR FEED DOG AND
THE PRESSER FOOT MUST BE PARALLEL.

3. RAISE THE PRESSER FOOT. PUSH UP THE


PRESSER FOOT WITH YOUR FINGER. CHECK IF
THE BLOCK MOVES SMOOTHLY.

POSITION WHERE THE TIP OF THE ROTARY HOOK EXACTLY MEETS THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE NEEDLE
SHOULD BE 3.50 TO 3.75 mm.

1. REMOVE THE MACHINE BASE (SEE PAGE 3).

THE NEEDLE WHILE HOLDING THE HANDWHEEL.

9. TIGHTEN THE HEXAGONAL SOCKET SCREW (A)


AND (B).

10.ATTACH THE BOBBIN HOLDER, NEEDLE PLATE


AND PRESSER FOOT.

MASTER FIRMLY.
NEEDLE (I) 7. CHECK THE BACKLASH BETWEEN THE HOOK
DRIVE AND LOWER SHAFT GEARS.

WHEN THE PRESSURE ADJUSTING DIAL IS AT “7” AND THE PRESSER FOOT (A) IS LOWERED, THE HIGHEST
POSITION OF THE FEED DOG SHOULD BE 0.80 TO 0.90 mm FROM THE SURFACE OF THE NEEDLE PLATE.

[ADJUSTMENT I]
1. TURN THE POWER SWITCH ON. ADJUST THE
STITCH LENGTH AT MAXIMUM LENGTH.
TURN THE POWER SWITCH OFF.
2. REMOVE THE BED COVER AND BASE COVER.
3. SET THE PRESSURE ADJUSTING DIAL AT “7”
WITH THE PRESSER FOOT LOWERED.
4. TURN THE HANDWHEEL TOWARD YOU TO
RAISE THE FEED DOG AT ITS HIGHEST POSITION.
4. LOOSEN THE SETSCREW (A).
5. LOOSEN THE NUT.
SETSCREW (B) ADJUST THE FEED DOG HEIGHT TO 0.85 mm BY
SETSCREW (A) SETSCREW (D) HEXAGONAL TURNING THE ADJUSTING SCREW (B).
SOCKET 7. TIGHTEN THE NUT AND SETSCREW (A).
SCREW (I) 8. ATTACH THE BED COVER.

[ADJUSTMENT II]
IF THE FEED DOG IS NOT PARALLEL TO THE
SURFACE OF THE NEEDLE PLATE AT ITS HIGHEST
POSITION, MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT AS FOLLOWS:

* FOR THIS ADJUSTMENT, A HEXAGONAL SOCKET


SCREW 4 x 6 (I), PART NO. 000111108 IS

WHEN THE PRESSER FOOT LIFTER IS RAISED, THE TENSION DISKS SHOULD OPEN APPROXIMATELY 1.0 MM.
WHEN THE PRESSER FOOT IS LOWERED, THE TENSION DISKS SHOULD CLOSE AND THE TENSION RELEASE
PLATE (2) SHOULD BE FREE FROM TENSION.

MECHANICAL ADJUSTMENT
THREAD CUTTER SENSOR POSITION ADJUSTMENT
WHEN THE THREAD CUTTER MOTOR IS INITIALIZED, THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EDGE OF MOVING
CUTTER AND THE END OF THREAD CUTTER PLATE SLIT SHOULD BE IN THE RANGE OF 0.4 TO 1.2 mm.

[TO CHECK]

1. TURN OFF THE POWER SWITCH.


REMOVE THE BASE COVER, BED COVER AND
FREE-ARM COVER.
SLIDE THE MOVING CUTTER TO THE RIGHT WITH
YOUR FINGER
END OF THREAD CUTTER PLATE SLIT TURN THE POWER SWITCH ON.
THE MOVING CUTTER MOTOR IS INITIALIZED,
AND MOVING CUTTER MOVES TO ITS HOME
0.4 TO 1.2 mm POSITION AUTOMATICALLY.

EDGE OF MOVING CUTTER 2. CHECK THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EDGE OF


MOVING CUTTER AND THE END OF THREAD
CUTTER PLATE SLIT.

4. OPEN THE CORD HOLDER OF THE CORD GUIDE.

5. REMOVE THE SETSCREWS (3 PCS.) TO


REMOVE THE SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY.

ADJUST THE STRETCH STITCH BALANCE DIAL (C) AT THE SETTING MARK (D).
THE MEASUREMENT OF FIVE OF TEST PATTRENS SHOULD BE IN THE RANGE OF 33 TO 39 mm AS SHOWN IN

1. WHILE PRESSING THE NEEDLE UP/DOWN AND
LOCK STITCH BUTTONS, TURN THE POWER
STRETCH STITCH SWITCH ON.
BALANCE DIAL (C) THE LCD SCREEN DISPLAY “FACTORY ADJUST”,
SETTING MARK (D) THEN ADJUSTING SCREEN WILL APPEAR.
TURN THE JOG DIAL TO SELECT “08.88888888”.
PRESS THE CONFIRM BUTTON (ENTER KEY).
2. SET THE STRETCH STITCH BALANCE DIAL (C)
AT THE SETTING MARK (D).
3. SEW TEST PATTERNS AND CHECK THE
MEASUREMENT OF FIVE OF THEM.
THE RANGE OF PATTERNS SHOULD BE IN THE
RANGE OF 33 TO 39 MM.
4. IF NOT, REMOVE THE BASE LID (E).
PRESS THE RIGHT ARROW OF BUTTON.
THE ADJUSTING SCREW (F) COMES TO THE
ADJUSTING POSITION.

• TURN THE ADJUSTING SCREW IN THE


DIRECTION OF (A) IF THE MEASUREMENT IS
MORE THAN 39 mm.
• TURN THE ADJUSTING SCREW IN THE
BASE LID (E) DIRECTION OF (B) IF THE MEASUREMENT IS
LESS THAN 33 mm.

AND SEW TEST PATTERNS. CHECK THE

DIAGNOSIS TEST
NOTE:
1. THE POWER SWITCH MUST BE TURNED OFF WHEN REPLACING PARTS.
2. THE LANGUAGE ON THE LCD IS ENGLISH ONLY.

PREPARATION
1. SHIFT THE BOBBIN WINDER SPINDLE TO THE RIGHT.
2. SLIDE THE DROP FEED LEVER TO THE RIGHT (AWAY FROM YOU) TO RAISE THE FEED DOG.
3. SLIDE THE SPEED ADJUSTING LEVER TO THE LEFT.
4. REMOVE THE PRESSER FOOT AND RAISE THE PRESSER BAR LIFTER (AT NORMAL UP POSITION).
5. SET THE NEEDLE BAR AT THE HIGHEST POSITION.

BEFORE STARTING THE DIAGNOSIS TEST,

CHECK OR REPLACE THE FOLLOWING PART(S) IF NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN THE POWER SWITCH IS
TURNED ON:

1. THE CONNECTORS ARE CONNECTED PROPERLY (REFER TO PAGE 20)


2. REPLACE THE CIRCUIT BOARD A (REFER TO PAGE 19 AND 20)
3. REPLACE THE POWER SUPPLY CORD.
4. REPLACE THE SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY.

WHEN THE SEWING LAMPS (LED LAMPS) DO NOT TURN ON,

1. REPLACE THE LED LAMP.


2. REPLACE THE CIRCUIT BOARD A.

1 TO START THE DIAGNOSIS TEST

1. WHILE PRESSING THE NEEDLE UP/DOWN AND


LOCK STITCH BUTTONS, TURN THE POWER
SWITCH ON.
THE LCD SCREEN DISPLAY “FACTORY ADJUST”,
THEN ADJUSTING SCREEN WILL APPEAR.

2. TURN THE JOG DIAL TO SELECT “03.Self-Check”.
