Sidi Hajj Boudjam’a

(May Allah be pleased with him)

Sidi Hajj Boudjam’a (May Allah be pleased with him) was the pious, the evoker, the grateful,
the seat of blessings, the servant of Seidina Ahmed Tidjani (May Allah sanctify his precious
secret). He was belonged to the best among the elite, those on whom the idea of betraying
Seidina Ahmed Tidjani (May Allah sanctify his precious secret), those whose who embodied
goodness and those who had the Great Opening.

Oftentimes, he would see the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon Him) and for
that matter he would use the same prayer as the great intercessor Sudu Mohamed Ibn Arabi
(May Allah be pleased with him) did. When he saw the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace
be upon him), the latter said to him: “ I am Mohamed Ibn Abdallah.” A great deal of servants
of Seidina (May Allah sanctify his precious secret) as well as the servants of other persons
saw within themselves the opening of the very hand of Seidina Ahmed Tidjani (May Allah
sanctify his precious secret).

About our beloved Sidi Hajj Boudjama it is reported that he would regularly read the Dalail el
Khairat on the eve of Fridays and Mondays with a group in a mosque near his place. One
evening, he did not join the group as he usually did. However, from his place he was
following the recitation until he fell asleep. During his sleep he saw a person from the reading
group come to see him. The person said to him: “Wake up to look at the Prophet (Peace be
upon him) he is passing by”, and went to resume to the reading.

Sidi Hajj Boudjama got up and remained so on the way with the necessary adeb, and he saw
the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon him) in company of Abou Bakr Siddiq
(May Allah be pleased with him). He said this about the event:

“When I saw the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon him) I walk hurriedly to him
and said: ‘May I enjoy the trace of the seal of Prophethood?’ and I repeated that several times.
Abou Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) answered me by pointing to the whereabouts of
the seal of Prophethood: ‘this place is sick.’ And he added: ‘Stay away from it.’”

The Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon him) turned and said to him: “Let him
enjoy himself.” Thereafter, the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon him) took off
his coat and showed me his shoulder saying: “take a look!” I saw the seal of Prophethood
between his blessed shoulders. It looks like the palm of the hand whose fingers were closely
tied together looking downwards. At the tip of the fingers there was a circle that looked like a
red stamp. I started king the seal and looking at it until the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and
peace be upon him) said to me: “This is enough for you ”, and he covered himself.

When I withdrew, he called me and asked: “can you hear me?” I answered: “Yes, you master,
you the messenger of Allah!” And he said: “You are among the one who really saw me.”

When I heard what he said I was so happy that I woke up. Then I heard the group in the
mosque reading the part that says: “O Allah, bless the holder of goodness, of beauty,
splendour and perfection.”

I got up and made my ablution and joined the group. I related the vision to them, and I was
certain that the Prophet (May Allah’s grace and peace be upon him) was among us to bear
witness to the closing of the reading. They were immensely happy to hear what I told them
and this was a source of motivation for them against laziness.”

Later on, he left the group by reason of the death of most of the members. He passed away
some twenty years after Seidian Ahmed Tidjani (May Allah sanctify his precious secrets).
