The turbine is the air supply for Elisa 300 & 500.
It draws in the ambient air via the Hepa filter.
This valve closes the gas pipe between the inspiration valve and the O2 mixer / turbine
combination.
This means that all maneuvers can be carried out where an inspiratory hold is required.
NIF Valve
If oxygen is available, this valve (P72) is open and supplies the gas chamber for the
paux options.
When oxygen is no longer available, it is closed, and the chamber is filled using a small
compressor (P70)

Since SW 2.09.x a button “O2 Sensor calibration” is available in this window which allows the
user to calibrate the O2 cell without having a password.
• Set the elisa 300-800 up with the breathing circuit and all accessories used
during ventilation
• Close the Y-connector of the ventilation tube and start the system test
• The system test lasts approximately 45 seconds. The remaining test time is
displayed on the screen

The service mode is used to test or troubleshoot the major components of the elisa 300-800

Oil is particularly critical: Machine oil in the air we breathe can kill a patient
Bear in mind:
Damage caused by water, oil and
dirt is never covered by the
manufacturer's warranty.

PF 300 features:
• Bidirectional Flow Measurement with
two channels for high resolution in high
and low flow
• Sensitive Pressure Measurement with 6
sensors inside
• Battery Operation
• Freely configurable display with 4
readings in real-time
• Configurable trigger for all your devices
You can get the PF 300 from us. Do not hesitate to ask for a quote.
• Trolley
• Tube Holder
• Nebulizer cable
• CO2 sensor cable
• CO2 sensor
• Et cetera
!do that only if your supply is powerful enough, see Information on the next page!
• If not, readjust the “Gain” with the selector. When the measurement device shows 140 l/min press button “Enter”
Remark:
After the calibration step "70 l/min." you will be asked if you want to proceed with 140 l/ min.
If your system can not deliver 140 l/min. you can skip this step (press Home-button) and proceed to the
next calibration process.
• Activate O2 flow in the calibration screen, then use the selector to dial to the checkpoint.
• The flow measuring device must show the checkpoint value (including tolerances).
• Test points:
Remove the connecting tube between the measuring instrument and the expiratory flow sensor.
• Activate "Air Flow", then use the selector to dial to the checkpoint
• The elisa must display each of the test point values (including tolerances)
Checkpoints:
5 l/min +/- 4.5 - 5.5 l/min.
30 l/min +/- 28.5 - 31.5 l/min.
60 l/min +/- 57 - 63 l/min.
100 l/min +/- 95 - 105 l/min.
Necessary material: Pressure measurement device for low pressure with tube and adapter,
ventilation tube.
• Connect the adapter to the expiration port. Connect the small tube to the measuring instrument
• Connect the breathing circuit to the inspiration port and to the adapter for the expiration port
• Tap the "Pressure calibration" button on the "Calibration" menu
• The elisa activates the flow and generates a pressure of 20 mbar. The selector opens at "20"
• The pressure measuring device must show 20 mbar
• If not, readjust with the selector. After calibration press button “Enter”
Remember: This Function's are not available on elisa 300 and on elisa 600 it is an option

2.2 All calibrations performed successfully
6.7.14 Calibrate the Sensors
Use an adapter (1) to connect Paux I (2), Paux II (3) and the measurement device (4) with
small tubes. Connect this adapter to the expiration port. Then connect the open end of the
adapter to the inspiration port with a tube.
• The elisa device starts the calibration routine automatically. The device generates a flow, and the selector
opens with a value "20".
• If this is not the case, use the selector to adjust the value until the measuring instrument displays 20 mbar
• Activate "Rinse flow Paux I", after which the measured value rises
automatically to approx. 100 cmH2O (+2 / –5). Next, deactivate the function
"Rinse flow Paux I" again
• Note the value and wait for 30 sec. After this time, there should have not been
any (or barely any) pressure loss (tolerance range 0–20 cmH2O)
• Activate "Rinse flow Paux I" until the measured value reads appr. 100 cmH2O (+2/-5), then
deactivate "Rinse flow Paux I"
• Activate "Purge flow Paux I" and stop the time until a Paux I pressure of 5 cmH2O is
measured. The time must be about 3 seconds (Tolerance range 1–10 seconds)
• Disconnect O2
• Alarm appears under operation
• Pressure drops in service screen (only elisa 600/800)
On the power manager screen, you can check the state of the batteries.

2: Functional tests
Gas supply leakage Test (only 600 & 800)
Use the test equipment as shown in the picture to check the gas supply for leaks
To install the new software, extract the zip-file to an empty USB-stick, it must look like that:
Go into the Service mode, Switch to Tab System Information and finally press the Button
Software Update.
Use a paper clip to press the switch inside the hole on the upper right side of the open battery
compartment. Press for about 5 seconds, the red alarm lights on the control unit will switch on and stay
on.
Release, then press again, and keep pressing as long as the red lights on the control unit stay on.
After the update has been completed, a loud beep sounds, and the alarm bar lights up red.
Switch the device off via the green Start button on the front. Next, switch the device on
again.
Important: With this type of update, the calibration data is not transferred, and it is necessary to carry
out a complete calibration of the unit
