I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, 90% of the students are expected to:
a. label the parts of Female Reproductive System;
b. identify the terms; and
c. describe the main components and functions of the female reproductive system.
B. Analysis
The teacher will ask the following questions to the students:
1. What do you think is the figure all about?
2. So class do you have any idea what is our topic is all about?
A. Abstraction
The teacher will discuss the following concepts;
Female Repoductive System consists of several organs that work
together to facilitate reproduction. Here is an overview:
Ovaries
Fallopian tubes
Uterus
Cervix
Vagina
Discuss the functions of each component.
Ovaries: production of eggs and sex hormones (estrogen and
progesterone)
Fallopian tubes: site of fertilization
Uterus: Where a fertilized egg implants and develops during
pregnancy
Cervix: Connects the uterus to the vagina
Vagina: birth canal and site of menstruation.
C. Application
The students will be grouped into two (2) groups. Each group will
given an picture that does not have the label of the parts of the Female
Reproductive System. The group will label and describe the parts of
the Female Reproductive System according to its function that is
given.
D. Evaluation
Direction: Write true if the statement is correct and false if it is wrong.
_____1. The Ovaries produce both eggs and female sex
hormones.
_____2. Fallopian Tubes are the site of fertilizations in Female
Reproductive System.
_____3. The uterus is responsible for nurturing and protecting a
fertilized egg during pregnancy.
_____4. Cervix connects the uterus to the vagina.
_____5. Vagina is the site of fertilization.
