Test Procedure: Each test specimen was evaluated in general accordance with:
NIJ Standard 0108.01, Ballistic Resistant Protective Materials, National Institute of Justice
Technology Assessment Program, September 1985
Test Specimen Source: The test specimens were provided by the client in good condition.
Representative samples of the test specimen(s) will be retained by Intertek-ATI for a minimum
of four years from the test completion date.
Firearm/Ammunition:
Test Firearm: H-S Precision, Inc. Universal Receiver Model UR-01
Test Barrel: H-S Precision, Inc. 308 Winchester Barrel, Z1111-1
Test Ammunition: 7.62mm, 150 grain, Full Metal Jacket.
Allowable velocity: 2750 ± 50 ft/s.
Conditions of Testing: Ambient laboratory temperatures were in the range of 58°F to 71°F for
the duration of all testing reported herein. All specimens were conditioned for a minimum of 24
hours prior to testing at 68°F.
Test Set-up: The specimen was rigidly mounted for ballistics resistance testing. The muzzle of
the test firearms were set at 16 feet (5 meters) from the sample at zero degree obliquity. Oehler
Model 57 infrared ballistic screens were set at 6.56 feet (2 meters) and at 9.84 feet (3 meters)
from the threat side of the sample. NIJ 0108.01, Section 5.2.10, a 0.020" (0.5mm) thick sheet of
2024-T3 aluminum was placed 6 in from the protected side of the specimen. Test ammunition
was reloaded to conform to NIJ 0108.01 Table 1 requirements.

a witness plate by any part of the test specimen or test bullet, as determined by passage of light when held up to
a 60-W light bulb".

Intertek-ATI will service this report for the entire test record retention period. Test records that
are retained such as detailed drawings, datasheets, representative samples of test specimens, or
other pertinent project documentation will be retained by Intertek-ATI for the entire test record
retention period.
Results obtained are tested values and were secured using the designated test methods. This
report does not constitute certification of this product nor an opinion or endorsement by this
laboratory. It is the exclusive property of the client so named herein and relates only to the
specimens tested. This report may not be reproduced, except in full, without the written
approval of Intertek-ATI.
