Answer the question in 100-120 words:
"Faith is unseen but felt, faith is strength when we feel we have none, faith is hope
when all seems lost." Elucidate the statement in reference to the story ‘A Letter to
God’.
Answer:
Faith is supposed to be capable of moving mountains. When we face difficulties in
life, it is our faith that keeps us going. It doesn't matter what we believe in. We may
have faith in ourselves, our loved ones, or the Almighty. However, whether or not
we have faith is critical.
In the story, ‘A Letter to God’, the central character ‘Lencho’ has unshakeable faith
in God. His entire harvest was destroyed by the hailstorm. He felt helpless, not
knowing how he and his family would sustain themselves. But, it is his faith in God
which enabled him to weather the storm. He wrote a letter to God praying for the
help of a hundred pesos from God. The post office employees were so mesmerized
to see Lencho’s remarkable faith in God that they all contributed and collected
seventy pesos for Lencho so that his faith in God is not shaken.
Answer the question in 100-120 words:
Horace Danby is a character who depicts those who use the wrong methods to
achieve their goals. What principles would you like these individuals to adopt in
order to reform themselves?
Answer:
Horace Danby was a successful businessman. He was a good citizen of around fifty
years, yet he had a propensity of committing robberies. Danby was a collector of
rare and valuable books, and every year he would rob a safe to obtain them. Every
year, he meticulously planned to ensure that he received exactly what he desired.
Danby went about fulfilling his wishes in the wrong way, and as a result, he was
eventually caught up in a thief's plot. Good ideals should be instilled in these kinds
of people. They should understand that the only way to achieve success is to put in
a lot of effort. To achieve one's goals, one must work hard. In order to transform
oneself, I believe such persons should embrace the virtues of honesty,
responsibility, hard work, determination, and self-confidence.

As a young man, Nelson Mandela joined the African National Congress. It
completely changed his life. What compelled him to join it?
Nelson Mandela joined the African National Congress because even basic freedom
was not available to blacks. They could not live as human beings. They were
punished and isolated from society. He brought a transformation by achieving
freedom for his people to live their lives with dignity and self-respect.

What was the purpose of the narrator's question concerning the second plane in the
control Centre?
The narrator wanted to thank the pilot of the black aeroplane for guiding him
through the
storm. It was for the pilot of the black aeroplane that the narrator was alive that day.
The narrator
owed his life to that pilot. But after landing, he couldn't find that aeroplane. So, he
inquired about it in the control centre.
Answer the question in 40-50 words:
What drove Anne to start a journal in the first place?
Anne had a lot of friends, but no one with whom she could truly confide or share
her emotions. A diary, she reasoned, would be the ideal confidante because it was
patient and nonjudgmental. She trusted the diary more than she trusted the people in
her life.
Answer the question in 40-50 words:
Not only is the tiger imprisoned in the poem 'A Tiger in the Zoo,' but there is also
something else. Can you figure out what else is being held captive?
It is not just the tiger that is behind the bars. By virtue of the metal bars surrounding
the mighty and ferocious animal, his powerful strength has also been locked in, as
has been his freedom. The otherwise dangerous animal is left helpless and confined,
devoid of his natural instincts and habits.
Answer the question in 40-50 words:
How did different canines at Mr. Herriot's hospital respond after seeing Tricki?
Different canines at Mr Herriot's hospital sniffed Tricki going around him for a
couple of moments and concluded that he was an uninteresting object and
disregarded him. However, on the third day, when Tricki trotted out, he was
promptly immersed by Joe, the greyhound and his companions. In the wake of
turning him over and completely assessing him, the canines dropped off down the
garden. Tricki followed them, rolling marginally with his surplus fat.
Answer the question in 40-50 words:
How would you assess Griffin as a scientist?
Griffin was a brilliant scientist. He had carried out experiment after experiment to
prove that the human body could become invisible. Finally, he swallowed certain
rare drugs and his body became as transparent as a sheet of glass — though it also
remained as solid as glass. Hence, he can be assessed as a great scientist.
