7 Remarks 1. Except for airspace in the APCH and TKOF path of VABB RWY
09/27 and 14/32 and airspace under jurisdiction of Shikra ATC,
airspace between radial 200 to 340 clockwise up to 25NM from BBB
and airspace between radial 341 to 199 clockwise up to 12 NM from
BBB up to 1200 FT AMSL for operation of VFR and special VFR
flights shall be under jurisdiction of Juhu ATC.
2. All Helicopters operating within 25 NM from BBB shall address
FPL to VAJJZTZX in addition to VABFZQZX.
3. Except departures from Mumbai all helicopters departing as VFR
within 25 NM from BBB shall obtain positive clearance from Juhu
ATC prior to departure.
4. Except when instructed otherwise, all helicopters operating under
VFR and special VFR within 30 NM from BBB between radial 200
to 340 clockwise and within 15NM from BBB between radial 341
TO 199 clockwise shall contact JUHU ATC on VHF 124.350 MHZ/
118.750 MHZ.

i. Local flying not permitted when Juhu visibility is less than 3 Km.
ii. Local flying areas A & B are available only when RWY 27 in use at Mumbai.
iii. Local flying in Area ‘A’ permitted at or below 1500 FT AMSL when RWY 09/14/32 in use at VABB.
2. Helicopter pilots to exercise caution while air taxi from RWY 26 to dispersal area in front of Tata / Raymond Hangar as no
taxiway available.
3. No Aircraft shall take lock turn/ pivotal turn on the Runway to avoid pavement damage.

i. All helicopters operating within 15 NM from Mumbai shall remain in contact with Juhu except when overflying, landing or
departing from Mumbai.
ii. All helicopters outbound may squawk 2100 beyond 15 NM from Mumbai and all helicopters inbound may squawk 2000 up
to 15 NM. All helicopters shall switch off transponders when operation within 15 NM of Mumbai.
iii. All departures towards Helipads/aerodromes to south east of Mumbai (e.g. Pune) shall be cleared to route via Karnala
(185254N 0730705E) & all inbound helicopters shall be cleared to route via Panvel (185940N 0730650E).
iv. All arrivals inbound to join K routes should be descended to altitude of the K route it is joining by 15 NM. For e.g. a
helicopter inbound from Pune to DAKC should be descended to 700 FT whereas that to Mahalaxmi should be descended to
500 FT.
Similarly, a departure from Mahalaxmi to Pune should be cleared to maintain 700 FT till 15 NM whereas departure from
DAKC to Pune should be cleared to maintain 500 FT.
v. All departures towards helipads/aerodromes to north east of Mumbai (e.g. Shirdi, Nasik, Aurangabad etc.) shall be cleared
to route via Powai Lake and Thane (1911N 07300E) at 500 FT and all inbound helicopters shall be cleared to route via Thane
and Vihar Lake at 700 FT.
vi. All inbound helicopters to land on RWY 34 at Juhu, whenever RWY in use at Mumbai is 14/32
