In the design of its engines MAN B&W Diesel Ltd, Ruston has made every effort to minimise the amount of
attention required to maintain their performance, close attention to the instructions contained in the maintenance
manuals will ensure reliability in service.
This spare parts manual has been prepared to cover a specific engine build as detailed on the title page, its use
for any other engine(s) may lead to the supply of incorrect parts, the fitting of which may lead to serious damage
to the engine(s) or ancillary equipment.
For customer support information first contact your nearest agent or company office or if not available contact
MAN B&W Diesel Ltd, Ruston
Because of variations in equipment build, it is important that owners/users/operators should only replace
components with genuine Ruston spare parts, which are identical to the original or contain modifications
approved by MAN B&W Diesel Ltd, Ruston
When ordering spare parts always quote the model and serial number of the unit of equipment concerned
together with the part number and description as identified from the parts list.

Preservation of spares
Spare parts store should be dry and well ventilated. The preservation applied to spares should not be removed
until the parts are required and frequent inspections should be made to ensure that there is no deterioration
during storage.
When components are removed from an engine and reconditioned for later use, all bright parts should be given a
coating of preservative. See Engine Preservation instruction in the maintenance and repair manual.
