To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.

Techology has been a part of human life, especially now, because it is used all the time. Raising children is easier than ever

Before Because technology provides us with more tools for learning. For example, nowadays children have the chance to

Acquire knowledge Anywhere with intelligent cell phone or pc.

Now the discussion is whether technology is good or bad for children. For me, not using technology is not an option, as it

is a joke Given that the world is changing all the time, people use this tool, so children should use it too, but they should

use it wisely and not Waste their time

The only problem with this topic is that children need to know how to use this tool correctly for their benefit, and their

parents should help them learn how to use it properly

Reading Section Around the World
Paragraph 1
An extreme athlete has run at least 130,220km. She might have run many more kilometres, but she didn’t count
them. Jenny Snow set a challenge in Brisbane in 1983 with her brother and sister to see who could run a minimum
of 5km a day, every day, until just one person was left running. One ran every day for a year and the other ran for
three years, but Ms. Snow kept running for 36 years and six days, covering the distance around the world more
than three times for no other reason than to test her strength of will.
Paragraph 2
She doesn’t know how far she ran, but it’s likely she ran an average of at least 10km a day, or 130,220km. Through
rain, hail, and blistering 48°C days, at 1am before a flight, and through multiple injuries, Ms. Snow ran every single
day, but it wasn’t all medals and crossing finishing lines. One morning, Ms. Snow slipped her feet into runners that
she had left outside and was bitten by a spider. She ran anyway. Her foot swelled up so much she couldn’t fit it
into her shoe the next day. Instead of taking a day off, Ms. Snow cut slits into the sides of the shoe to widen them
and used makeshift shoelaces to secure her foot.
Paragraph 3
While many runners spend hundreds of dollars a year on the latest wearable technology to track everything from
sleep and steps, to energy used and heart rate, Ms. Snow didn’t use much technology. She only used a stopwatch
and wore shorts and T-shirt, no lycra, no compression gear. The 68-year-old’s favourite place to pound the
pavement is the back streets of Woolloongabba, Brisbane.
Paragraph 4
A knee injury earlier this year led to the end of the 35-year, 7-day unbroken routine. In June, Ms. Snow visited her
physiotherapist and was told to get treatment to help with an ankle injury. But then she started getting knee pain
that was too intense to walk through, let alone run through. On the morning of Wednesday, June 27, barely a few
metres from her house, she hobbled home unable to run. “I thought I’d wait and see how it felt in the afternoon,”
she said. But it was no better a few hours later, so Ms. Snow decided at the age of almost 70, it was time for the
challenge to end.
