I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. knows of different trigonometric ratios;
b. identifies the opposite, hypothenuse and adjacent sides of right triangle;
c. use trigonometric ratio to solve the unknown sides and angles of the right
triangle;
d. value the importance of solving right triangle using trigonometric ratio in real-
life situation.
C. Materials Needed:
• Visual Aids
• PowerPoint Presentation
• Paper
• Marker
• Scientific Calculator
D. Concept:
A right-angled triangle is a triangle where one and only one of the angles is exactly
90°. The other two angles will clearly be smaller than the right angle because the sum of
all angles in a triangle is always 180°. Using trigonometric ratio, we can easily solve the
unknown sides of right triangle.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Daily Routines
• Opening Prayer
• Greetings
• Checking of Attendance
• Classroom management
• Closing Prayer
C. Motivation
• The learners will be asked some ideas about the pictures that the teacher will show
and guess what the topic is all about upon the given clues. The student who will
gain the most points will win.
D. Lesson Proper
The Teacher will discuss the subject content of solving right triangle using
trigonometric ratio using PowerPoint presentation and visual aids.
A. Pre-lab discussion
Discuss the Six Trigonometric Ratios and the formula will be use to solve the
unknown sides and angles of right triangle.
Guide Questions:
a. When do you use Pythagorean theorem in solving the right triangle?
b. How do you know if the answers you will get in solving the angles
correct?
c. How do we identify if the sides are opposite, adjacent, and hypothenuse?
B. Post-lab discussion
Checking of the answers to guide questions and sharing of ideas.
E. Generalization
Trigonometry is derived from the Greek words trigonon means triangle and metron
means measure. Thus, trigonometry means measurement of triangles. It was used in ancient

times in surveying, navigation, and astronomy to find relationships between the lengths of
the sides of a triangle and measurement of angles. It is really important to learned how to
solve the right triangle using trigonometric ratio because it can be use in real life situations
like knowing the distance between a specific place to your place, it can be very useful to
architect, surveyors, astronauts, physicists, engineers and even crime scene investigators.
F. Application
The students will be group into 5, each group will be given a piece of papers with
an illustration of right triangle with unknown sides and angles. Each piece of paper with
correct computation of the answer will be given three words. They need to compute all the
pieces of paper. After they correctly solve all the pieces of paper, they need to get a word
from the teacher, then they need to construct a word problem from the given words and
solve it. The first group will be solved correctly will win the game.
IV. EVALUATION
