B. Presentation
1. Student’s Activity The teacher will present an activity called “ARRANGE ME”.

2. Teacher’s Activity The teacher will use the activity to springboard the discussion.
PARTS OF A PLOT
Exposition- Introduction;characters,setting and conflict(problem) are
introduced.
Rising Action-Events that occur as result of central conflict.
Climax-Highest point of interest or suspense of a story.
Falling Action-Tension eases;events show the results of how the main
character begins to resolve the conflict.
Resolution/Denouement- This is the conclusion or ending of a story.
Before the activity, the students will be given time to read the
short story “The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry” .
After reading, they will be given time to work on their activities
by group.
After that, they will be presenting their output in the class.
IV. ASSESSMENT
The student will read the short story “Footnote to Youth by Jose
Garcia Villa.
After reading , the student will create a short story analysis by
identifying the characters, setting, plot, conflict and theme of the
short story.
V. ASSIGNMENT
