1. Overview
1.1. Preseason Qualification
We use a preseason qualifying to assign drivers into divisions. This will ensure you will be in a
lobby that best suits you and should make for much closer racing. After preseason qualifying,
drivers will be locked into their respective divisions for the length of the season.

Settings for preseason qualification will differ each season. League administrators will host
these sessions on specific dates. If, for any reason, you plan on completing preseason
qualifying and are unable to attend, notify an administrator as soon as possible, and impromptu
sessions may be hosted at a different time after the initial sessions have been completed.

If a driver enters a scenario in which they have been heavily impeded during their preseason
qualifying session, they may be permitted to re-qualify in a future impromptu session.

Intentionally providing slipstream to other drivers is strictly prohibited. An exception is given

only if they are found to have caught up to the driver ahead due to pace or making too many
errors on their current lap, however, that driver must create space again after setting their time.

2. Driver Etiquette
2.1. Code of Conduct
If you sign up for a PRL-sanctioned series, please attend the races. If, for any reason, you are
unable to attend a race, please notify the league administrators as soon as possible.

Please be patient when racing, races are not won by the first turn or within the first lap. We also
recommend that once a race starts, it is highly recommended that you do not retire (rage quit).
While we understand the frustration of your race potentially being spoiled on the first lap, we
ask you to continue as you’ll have plenty of time to recover and regain positions.

We also recommend that you refrain from using the in-game text chat feature during the race.
This feature can be a source of distraction for other drivers, and due to the recurring instability
of the Gran Turismo servers, this can also cause lag and other network issues in the lobby.

3. Qualifying
3.1. Routine
Division 1 will have a 5-minute long qualifying session, and Divisions 2 and 3 will have a
10-minute long qualifying session.

You must not stop or slow down severely on the circuit at any point as this can disrupt other
drivers and potentially cause a yellow flag. Drivers that do so may be disciplined as a result.

If a glitch occurs resulting in a disconnect during qualifying, the session may either be restarted
to allow the affected driver(s) to join and set a lap or qualifying may be completed and the start
of the race will be postponed to allow the driver(s) to join the track.

4. Race Day
4.1. Routine
The race lobby will be open 30 minutes before the race time. After qualifying, a five-minute
break will be applied, after which the race will begin. All racing tire compounds are required and
must be used for at least one lap.

4.2. Time Penalties

If you receive a penalty, you must serve it off the racing line when possible, so during the
process of unghosting, it will reduce the risk of incidents.

4.3. Racing Incidents

If you cause an incident and feel guilty, it is recommended that you do not wait up for the
person if the incident has the potential to cause a traffic jam resulting in another collision. If you
do this and it results in another crash, the driver will be further penalized post-race.

Please report all racing incidents as soon as possible after the race, ideally within 24 hours.
