a. In the MIT App Inventor, can you change the name of objects? Give

reason why you should change the name of the objects.


Ans:  Yes, you can change the name of the objects in an MIT App
Inventor.
 You should change the name of the objects to give it a
meaningful name so that the name explains what it is and
what it does.
 The name should be a single word without spaces.

b. Explain the purpose of the designer window and the block window

in App Inventor.
Ans: The designer window allows you to design the interface of the
app using various components.

The block window allows you to create the program code for
the app.

c. What is the purpose of block editor? Explain its various parts.


Ans: It helps to make your app work by assigning the components
specific tasks that will provide the functionality to the app. It
instructs the components what to do and when to do it.
The main parts of the block editor are:
 Built-in blocks: These blocks are used to add general
behaviour to the app.
 Component blocks: These are the blocks that you have
added for your app in the Block Viewer.
 Trash: It is used to delete the block that is not required.
 Bagpack: It is used to drag blocks so that you can use them
later. It retains the copy of the block even when you exit
App Inventor.

d. Yash wants to develop an app for his school as per the requirement

put forward by his teacher. What process should be followed by

Yash to develop the app?


Ans:  Yash must acquire the app requirements from his teacher
and then design the app based on the given requirements.
 He should test the app and then compare the test results to
the given requirements.
 If the results of his app match the given requirements, then
the app is ready and no more work is required.
 If the results of his app do not match the given
requirements, then he will have to think improvements or
add an extra feature to make it better.
