2. Most people that you talk to will say that coffee is unhealthy because it contains
caffeine; clearly they are unaware of the health benefits from this popular
beverage.
3. There have been many studies looking into the health benefits from coffee and
nearly all of them have come up with similar results. The caffeine in coffee acts as
a stimulant which makes us more alert and makes us feel more energetic. This
comes in handy in the morning when we feel tired and want to feel awake and
ready to start the day.
4. Usually people don’t drink coffee late at night before bed because the caffeine
will keep you awake and result in a restless sleep.
5. Coffee is widely known to help prevent things such as Alzheimer’s disease,
prostate cancer, diabetes, and Parkinson’s disease all of which are very common
health problems with no cures available. A large study in 2008 proved that
consuming coffee also reduced the risk of dying from cardiovascular disease
6. Numerous studies have claimed coffee to be a Superfood. For those who don’t
know, a Superfood is something that is considered to be beneficial for health and
well-being.
7. The caffeine and antioxidants found in coffee have both health and anti-aging

Do you like coffee? Almost every person in the world will say yes. Coffee is one of the most
popular drinks in the world. Different people like to drink different coffee and different
doses. A lot of scientists state that coffee and caffeine it contains are very harmful to health.
Others find a great number of arguments about the beneficial effect of this drink.
What should people believe in? In general, there beneficial and bad effects from drinking
coffee. If people want to drink coffee, but they also want to save their health from problems,
they should get to know maximum information about it.
Coffee is a well-known stimulant. This is the main reason, why people drink it. For most of
them, it is the only way to be in good spirits in the morning. Some people just can wake up
and feel alerted without a cup of coffee. It was also proved that coffee is able to increase
attention span. As a result, coffee is a beneficial product for those, who need to drive long
distances, do tedious work, study the whole night, or pay attention to details. Some
individuals can state that coffee has no positive effect on health. Yet, if a person, who needs
to drive the whole won’t fall asleep while driving, it is definitely good for his/her health. It
was also proved that coffee contains such thing as antioxidants that is able to prevent cancer.
In general, coffee is quite a good drink, the problems with health occur only when a person
consumes too much of this drink. If, for example, to drink one cup of coffee, caffeine can
make a person urinate more, make a digestive system of this person to produce more acid,
and increase his/her heart rate. In large amounts, coffee can cause headaches, anxiety, and
sleeplessness. If the amount of drunk coffee is too high, a person even can have
hallucinations. Large amounts of coffee are dangerous not only for short term usage but in
long term usage too. If to drink coffee that contains more than 600 mg caffeine per day every
day for a long period of time, a person can have sleep problems, digestion problems, and
even depression. The worst thing is that coffee, or it is better to say, caffeine is an addictive
substance, and people, who drink all the time can’t give it up easily.
The most important in drinking coffee is dose. If people drink from 3 to 8 cups a day or 250
mg of caffeine, it is fine, and there is no need to expect any bad consequences for health. Yet,
this is true only for healthy people, who don’t have any problems with the heart, vessels, and
pressure. 10 cups of coffee and more per day are considered to be excessive. Drinking of
coffee so much can have negative effects described previously. However, it is also necessary
to remember that amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee can be different depending on
different factors, like the strength of the brew and type of beans. If some individuals really
like coffee, but he/she is afraid of his/her health, it is better to visit a doctor and decide what
amount of coffee will be the most appropriate. It will depend on different factors, like health
status, weight, and sensitivity to coffee.
As you can see, coffee can be a very good thing, if to consume it not more than 8 cups a day.
In most of the cases, people drink it about 2-5 times a day, which is fine. Yet, if the dose of
caffeine is too big, there is a great chance of bad effects. It is necessary to be careful with this
drink because people addicted to drinking large amounts of coffee can’t have good health.
