MOVIE REVIEW WORKSHEET

Movie Title: The Da Vinci Code

Fill out the following information about the movie.

DURING THE MOVIE

1. Who are the 5 most important characters in the film?

- Robert Langdon, Sophie Neveu, Jacques Sauniere, Sir Leigh Teabing, and Bezu
Fache are the five main characters in the movie.
2. What is this story about? Be very detailed.
- The plot revolves around Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu's discovery of
hidden symbols and hints in Da Vinci's artwork, which revealed a secret the church
hierarchy had been keeping from the outside world. The Holy Grail and Jesus' life
are at the center of the religious mystery, implying that the Son of God connected
with Mary Magdalene and had a child with her. Since the beginning of Christianity,
the secret society has guarded the sacred secret out of concern that it may
undermine the faith.
3. What group of people would you like this movie? (Demographics)?
- The intended audience for this movie, in my opinion, is today's teenagers.
These days, those teenagers are more likely to be drawn to mysteries and thrillers
in film. Like me, I'm a teenager who enjoys watching mysteries and thrillers. I am
perfectly aware that this type of film is entirely fictitious, and I will not allow it to
impact my Christian practices or beliefs.

AFTER THE MOVIE

4. Did you like this movie? Why or why not?
- I absolutely loved this movie as a teenager. My interest was definitely piqued
by the history and uncovering puzzles. The way the events are organized and the
storyline twist are outstanding and startling. When they revealed the symbols
concealed in the da Vinci paintings and how they cracked the codes, it was
extremely thrilling. I must say that this movie is highly recommended.
5. What rating would you give this movie? (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17)
- I would rank this movie as R because it contains situations and imagery that
children under the age of 17 should not see since they might affect how they
develop their thoughts and behaviors, such as nude corpses, naked paintings, sex,
drugs, and violence.
6. What spoilers might ruin the movie for viewers if you told them about it?
- The first spoiler would be learning that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were
romantically involved and that their kid carried on Jesus' lineage to the current day
in the movie. The information that Sir Leigh Teabing was also the "Teacher" who
misled Robert, Sophie, and the Bishops would be another spoiler. The knowledge
that Sophie Neveu is a living descendent of Jesus would be the final spoiler.

7. All movies teach a lesson (theme/moral). What did you learn from this one?
- This film made me realize how important art is in disclosing historical
mysteries. Art is more than simply aesthetic beauty; it contains many messages
and even secrets that have the power to shock all of humanity and transform the
planet.

Movie Title: Inferno

Fill out the following information about the movie.

DURING THE MOVIE

1. Who are the 5 most important characters in the film?
- Robert Langdon, Bertrand Zobrist, Sienna Brooks, Elizabeth Sinskey, and
Harry Sims are the story's five most important characters.

2. What is this story about? Be very detailed.

- The story's primary focus is a virus developed by wealthy biomedical
engineer Bertrand Zobrist, who thought it would save civilization. He did
this because he felt that eradicating a significant portion of the human
race through a worldwide virus inspired by Dante's Inferno would address
the world's grave overcrowding problem. Zobrist committed suicide before
the virus' intended distribution. However, he left her followers with riddles
and hints on locating the virus and disseminating it using an image of
Dante's Inferno called Botticelli's map of hell. It was at this point that the
WHO requested Robert Langdon's assistance. Robert Langdon utilized his
skills to identify the virus, solve the mystery on the artworks, and stop
Zobrist's minions from carrying out their heinous plot.

3. What group of people would like this movie (Demographics)?

- The primary target demographic for this film is teenagers. It's because
the film centers on the world's most pressing issue—overpopulation.
Teenagers can understand since they typically are aware of this issue. The
mystery, thriller, and criminal genre viewers will particularly enjoy this
film.
AFTER THE MOVIE

4. Did you like this movie? Why or why not?

- Indeed, I enjoy this film. Since I find it fascinating to see how the
characters decipher the hidden meanings in the antique artworks to solve
the riddle, how they used outstanding pieces of art from earlier periods to
provide information about the location of the virus, and how they applied
the artwork to modern society was genuinely stunning. The storyline
twists are excellent and surprising.

5. What rating would you give this movie? (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17)
- . This film should be rated PG-13 due to the violence and unsettling
imagery that are not suitable for viewers under the age of 13.

6. What spoilers might ruin the movie for viewers if you told them about it?
- The information that Sienna Brooks, the physician who assisted Rober
Langdon, is a collaborator and follower of Bertrand Zobrist is the spoiler
that may destroy the movie for viewers. Everything was arranged by
Sienna, from the kidnapping of Rober Langdon to Vatyentha's pursuit of
them at the Palazzo. All of this was done so that she could employ
Langdon to answer the riddle Zobrist gave and accomplish their objective
of dispersing the virus.

7. All movies teach a lesson (theme/moral). What did you learn from this one?
- This film taught me that because art may conceal or symbolize a deeper
meaning, it can be a puzzle or a component of one. In addition, I
discovered that sometimes, even when we only want to assist people, we
come up with the incorrect answer, which may worsen things, much like
when Zobrist believed that the virus would rescue the world. In addition, I
discovered that I shouldn't put too much faith in others, especially when
we've just recently met them. We should be more cautious about who we
may trust since, in the end, they might place us in dangerous or
challenging circumstances.
