QUESTION 5- SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

5 Read the extract below and answer questions that follow. Your answer should be in
an essay form.

As citizens of South Africa, we are currently experiencing great changes when it comes to
global warming, pollution and toxic substances that end up in our food and drinking water. In
addition flora and fauna are disappearing from the places where we played when we were
children, and natural resources are being depleted.

5.1 Define the word global warming [1x1][1]

5.2. Explain any TWO impacts of climate change on the world. country [2x2][4]

5.3. Discuss any THREE things which can be done at home to mitigate the effect of climate

5.4. Suggest any TWO strategies that the South African government can employ to reduce
