1. To avoid ethical issues in business, leaders, and members should take an active role in
seeking out and correcting unethical behaviors as early as possible. In your current online
business, what key tactics are you going to implement and why?

a) As an online business owner, we apply a collaborative approach to manufacturing and

delivering of products. CEOs and Staffs work in an equal environment, where staffs
and higher office managers discuss ideas openly. Every idea is considered and listened
to. We also keep in mind the capability and health of our employees, we don’t force
employees to work in conditions we are uncomfortable to work in. We make sure all
employees and staffs work in a safe environment. In addition, we ensure all employees
wear proper personal protective equipment and all abide in quarantine protocols. Every
people in our company is valued equally. We encourage them to do their best and we
build on each other to help each other grow stronger with the company.

2. Why is social enterprise important to the community? Cite examples of social enterprise
today and think about how you can improve their social impact.

a) Social Enterprises are signs of change. Through the years, more and more social
enterprises have been rising. This shift in the business industry is a promising sign that
awareness on global issues are now being put to light. Moreover, now everyone is
taking part of the movement to make our world a better place. Established businesses
too are taking part with the trend. Already established businesses are now taking a
social enterprise approach, opting for recyclable, biodegradable, and reusable materials
rather than plastics and Styrofoam. Examples of Social enterprises that makes a positive
impact in our society is Bambike. This social enterprise sheds light on multiple issues.
First is mental health and physical health of the youth. Let go of your phones and enjoy
the sights to see outside. Second, environmental footprint of gas and smoke produced
by transportation through vehicles. Third is the footprint produced in producing bikes
made of plastics. Lastly is supporting local product, as Bambike is a company made by
Filipinos and for the Filipinos. The Points of Improvement in this social enterprise is
the availability. Convenience in purchasing Bambike would vastly increase sales,
market, and awareness

3. Assuming that you have been given a huge amount of capital to your online business and
at the same time your business has become a social enterprise, as a social entrepreneur,
what issues are you going to address? Why?
a) Self-neglect. I choose this because, growing up in Don Bosco, we are taught an idle
mind is the work shop of the devil. As a Bosconian and a student in this time of
pandemic, I know how hard it is to find a purpose in this time of the pandemic. It
is hard to find something to do that will make you happy. That is why our company
provides personalized designs in our products. Customer purchasing process is
highly interactive. We want to know what you like and prefer. You get to be hands
on with the production of your package without having to hustle through protocols
and restrictions. In addition to that, future plans of Sweet Desire are to sell baking
kits/ s’mores kit. Through this money, we will be able to accomplish our plan to
expand into projects like this, giving our customers a more enjoyable experience at
home.
