1. The length and width of a rectangle are given as 8.3𝑐𝑚 and 4.7𝑐𝑚 respectively. If the leghth is measured to the
nearest 0.3𝑐𝑚 and the width is measure to the nearest 0.2𝑐𝑚,calculate the perecentage error in the area of the recatngle.

4. A quantity 𝑃 varies partly as 𝑋 and partly as the inverse of the square of 𝑋. Given that 𝑃 = 19 when 𝑋 = 2 and
𝑃 = 49.84 when 𝑋 = 5. Find :
a) The equation connecting 𝑃 and 𝑋 (3marks)

5. Below is a circle centre O.

Find the equation of the circle in the form ax 2 + by 2 + cx + dy + e = 0 where a, b, c, d and e are integers. (3 marks)

6. The gradient of the curve y = 2x2 + c at the point (p, 5) equals − 8 .Find thevalues of p and c. (3 marks)

7. Calculate the mean absolute deviation of the set of data below:
