GENERAL MAINTENANCE:

The general maintenance of machine mainly helps the machine to run smoothly with better

efficiency.the general maintenance of machine mainly involves activities cleaning service, giving

sufficient current and operating adjustment. The activities involved in maintenance helps the vehicle to

run well without any problem machine failure.

Electricity needed for machine:

The machine needs the electricity which is siffcient to the machine if the high current passes in it then the

many problems occur in that machine gets short circuited. So the electricity is need sufficient to the machine.

Cleaniness :

Keep the register clean and free of items. Regular Cleaning ensure the machine runs at maximum

capacity.

power:

Keep the power transformer and upss separate to prevent over heating. Ensure the power line

connection is safe and fixed.

18
ELECTRICAL WORKS:

Any appliances that we use in our daily lives such as household appliances, office equipments and

industrial equipments, almost all of those things take electricity. Therefore, we should understand

electricity.

Electrical also plays a virtual role in the machines. Mainly for the power supply purpose

electricity is needed, the electricity required to generate power is come from the line and some ICD

displays uses the electricity from the battery.

So all the electricity related equipments’s were connected to the battery for its

functioning. Therefore electrical works also necessary and that will be done in the servicing.

Electric works are a fundamental component of modern construction, encompassing

the installation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems in buildings. These systems provide

power for lighting, heating, cooling, appliances, and various other functions essential for daily life.

The presence of either a positive or negative electric charge produces an electric field. The

motion of electric charges is an electric current and produces a magnetic field. In most

applications, Coulomb's law determines the force acting on an electric charge. Electric potential is

the work done to move an electric charge from one point to another within an electric field, typically

measured in volts.

19
PCB(PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD)
A printed circuit board (PCB), also called printed wiring board (PWB), is a medium used to connect

or "wire" components to one another in a circuit. It takes the form of a laminated sandwich structure

of conductive and insulating layers: each of the conductive layers is designed with a pattern of traces,

planes and other features (similar to wires on a flat surface) etched from one or more sheet layers of

copper laminated onto or between sheet layers of a non-conductive substrate. Electrical components

may be fixed to conductive pads on the outer layers, generally by means of soldering, which both

electrically connects and mechanically fastens the components to the board. Another manufacturing

process adds vias, drilled holes that allow electrical interconnections between conductive layers.

Printed circuit boards are used in nearly all electronic

products. Alternatives to PCBs include wire wrap and point-to-point construction, both once popular but

now rarely used. PCBs require additional design effort to lay out the circuit, but manufacturing and

assembly can be automated. Electronic design automation software is available to do much of the work of

layout. Mass-producing circuits with PCBs is cheaper and faster than with other wiring methods, as

components are mounted and wired in one operation. Large numbers of PCBs can be fabricated at the

same time, and the layout has to be done only once. PCBs can also be made manually in small quantities,

with reduced benefits.

20
PCBs can be single-sided (one copper layer), double-sided (two copper layers on both sides of one substrate layer),

or multi-layer (outer and inner layers of copper, alternating with layers of substrate). Multi-layer PCBs allow for

much higher component density, because circuit traces on the inner layers would otherwise take up surface space b

etween components. The rise in popularity of multilayer PCBs with more than two, and especially with more than

four, copper planes was concurrent with the adoption of surface mount technology. However, multilayer PCBs

make repair, analysis, and field modification of circuits much more difficult and usually impractical.

21
SOLDERING

A soldering station is a multipurpose

power soldering device is electronis components

soldering. This type of equipment is mostly

used in electronics and electrical engineering. Soldering

station consists of one or more soldering tools connected

to the main unit, which includes the controls

(temperature adjustment), means of indication, and may

be equipped with an electric transformer. Soldering

stations may include some accessories – holders and stands, soldering tip cleaners, etc.

Soldering stations are widely used in electronics repair workshops, electronic

laboratories, in industry.

Soldering station components

The main soldering station elements which determine its compatibilities are soldering tools.

Different tools are used for different applications and soldering stations may be equipped with more than

one of them at a time. The main tools for soldering are:

22
 contact soldering irons;

 desoldering tweezers or SMD hot tweezers;

 desoldering gun;

 hot air gun;

 infrared heater.

Soldering iron is the most common working tool of a soldering station. Some stations may use

simultaneously several soldering irons to make the process quicker and more convenient, as there is no

need to change the soldering tips or readjust the station or the soldering temperature. Some stations may

use some specialized soldering irons, such as ultrasonic soldering irons or induction soldering irons.

Soldering Irons

Soldering iron as a part of soldering station has a number of advantages.

Desoldering Tools

Desoldering is a very important stage in PCB repair. It is often needed to disassemble some

components just to make sure they work or check their condition. That is why it is important to detach the

elements without any possible damage to them.

The means that may be integrated in soldering stations are:

SMD hot tweezers heat up and may not only melt the solder alloy but grab the needed component as

well. They may have different types of tips for different applications.

Desoldering iron is usually made in a shape of a gun. It is capable of taking in the air (vacuum pickup)

and solder alloy.

Non-contact heating tools include hot air and infrared heaters. They are used for SMT disassembling.

23
MOUNTING COMPONENTS IN PCB

"Through hole" components are mounted by their wire leads passing through the board

and soldered to traces on the other side. "Surface mount" components are attached by their leads to

copper traces on the same side of the board. A board may use both methods for mounting components.

PCBs with only through-hole mounted components are now uncommon. Surface mounting is used

for transistors, diodes, IC chips, resistors, and capacitors. Through-hole mounting may be used for some

large components such as electrolytic capacitors and connectors.

The first PCBs used through-hole technology, mounting electronic components by

lead inserted through holes on one side of the board and soldered onto copper traces on the other side.

Boards may be single-sided, with an unplated component side, or more compact double-sided boards,

with components soldered on both sides. Horizontal installation of through-hole parts with two axial leads

(such as resistors, capacitors, and diodes) is done by bending the leads 90 degrees in the same direction,

inserting the part in the board (often bending leads located on the back of the board in opposite directions

to improve the part's mechanical strength), soldering the leads, and trimming off the ends. Leads may

be soldered either manually or by a wave soldering machine.

24
Surface mounting lends itself well to a high degree of automation, reducing labor costs and

greatly increasing production rates compared with through-hole circuit boards. Components can be

supplied mounted on carrier tapes. Surface mount components can be about one-quarter to one-tenth of

the size and weight of through-hole components, and passive components much cheaper.

Semiconductor surface mount devices (SMDs) are determined more by the chip

itself than the package, with little price advantage over larger packages, and some wire-ended

components, such as 1N4148 small-signal switch diodes, are actually significantly cheaper than SMD

equivalents.

25
CABLES

A combination of two cables, it is made up of RG59 and 18/2 cable, the former for video transmission

quality and the latter for power purposes. In other words, since RG59 is a coaxial cable, it helps in

running the video to the security camera, whereas 18/2 cable helps in the AC/DC power to the camera.

Cable and connectors are used to ensure the wiring of electrical connection is done safely. Also they

ensure that there is an easy joining of two or more cables or sets of wires during electrical works. It's

available in a wide range of different types for various applications.

These are two different cables connected together, allowing you to power security cameras and receive

video signals using one cable run. RG-59 Siamese cables are often used for analog or HD-over-coax

security cameras that use a BNC connector.

Able and connectors are an electrician's essential toolbox because it helps

in reducing the time spent on joining two cables or connecting of sets of wire together. Cable and

connectors are innovated to ensure that connections are secured and safe, also suitable for solid, flexible,

and stranded conductors.

However, while considering the type of cable:

purpose are all classified. Cables are classified as;

· Twisted pair

· Coaxial

The twisted pair consists of pairs of insulated

copper wire that are color-coded, one of which

carried the signal and the other cable is used for

ground connections. Each of the two wires is
twisted

26
around each other and form pairs that are packed into plastics sheath in which each wire consist of 0.4mm

- 0.7mm.

The number of pairs initiated during wiring determines the cable type and also the more you twist a pair

of wires the less the cross talk. The most significant effect of twist pair is that it reduces the noise effect

or interferences caused by the radiofrequency of the electromagnetic interferences.

Optical fiber is a very thin

strand of pure glass which

acts as a waveguide for light

over long distances. It uses a

principle known as total

internal reflection. fiber optic

cable is actually composed of two layers of glass: The core, which carries the actual light signal, and the

cladding, which is a layer of glass surrounding the core. The cladding has a lower refractive index than

the core. This causes Total Internal Reflection within the core. Most fibers operate in duplex pairs: one

fiber is used to transmit and the other is used to receive.

CONNECTORS

Components of an electrical circuit are electrically connected if an electric current can run between them

through an electrical conductor. An electrical connector is an electromechanical device used to create an

electrical connection between parts of an electrical circuit, or between different electrical circuits, thereby

joining them into a larger circuit.

27
The connection may be removable (as for portable equipment), require a tool for assembly and removal,

or serve as a permanent electrical joint between two points. An adapter can be used to join dissimilar

connectors. Most electrical connectors have a gender – i.e. the male component, called a plug, connects to

the female component, or socket. Thousands of configurations of connectors are manufactured

for power, data, and audiovisual applications. Electrical connectors can be divided into four basic

categories, differentiated by their function

 inline or cable connectors permanently attached to a cable, so it can be plugged into

 another terminal (either a stationary instrument or another cable)

 Chassis or panel connectors permanently attached to a piece of equipment so users can connect a

 cable to a stationary device

 PCB mount connectors soldered to a printed circuit board, providing a point

 for cable or wire attachment.[6]: 56 (e.g. pin headers, screw terminals, board-to-board connectors)

 Splice or butt connectors (primarily insulation displacement connectors) that permanently join two

 lengths of wire or cable

In computing, electrical connectors are considered a physical interface and constitute part of the physical

layer in the OSI model of networking.

28
POWER SUPPLY

DEFINITION:

A power supply unit (PSU) converts mains AC to low-voltage regulated DC power for the internal

components of a desktop computer. Modern personal computers universally use switched-mode power

supplies.

WORKING:

Power is the backbone of any electronic system and the power supply is what feeds the system. Choosing

the right supply can be the critical difference between a device working at optimum levels and one that

may deliver inconsistent results.

In addition to alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) power supplies, DC to DC converters are

also available. If DC is already available in your system, a DC to DC converter may be the better design

choice than AC discussed below.

Direct current power supplies are either unregulated or regulated. Regulated supplies come in several

options including linear, switched and battery-based.

A power supply takes the AC from the wall outlet, converts it to unregulated DC, and reduces the voltage

using an input power transformer, typically stepping it down to the voltage required by the load. For

safety reasons, the transformer also separates the output power supply from the mains input.

29
The power supply converts the alternating current (AC) from a wall socket of mains

electricity to a low-voltage direct current (DC) to operate the motherboard, processor and peripheral d

evices. Several direct-current voltages are required, and they must be regulated with some accuracy to

provide stable operation of the computer. A power supply rail or voltage rail refers to a single voltage

provided by a PSU.

Some PSUs can also supply a standby voltage, so that most of the computer system can be powered off

after preparing for hibernation or shutdown, and powered back on by an event. Standby power allows a

computer to be started remotely via wake-on-LAN and Wake-on-ring or locally via Keyboard Power ON

(KBPO) if the motherboard supports it. This standby voltage may be generated by a small linear power

supply inside the unit or a switching power supply, sharing some components with the main unit to save

cost and energy.
