Property : Congruent arcs or equal arcs of a circle subtend equal angle at
the centre.
AOB = COD

Theorem : The angle subtended by an arc at the centre of circle

is twice the angle which is subtended at remaining
part of the circle.
AOB = 2 APB

• Any two angles in the same segment of the circle are equal.
APB = AQB

• Angle in a semicircle is a right angle.

APB = 90º

Theorem : In a cyclic quadrilateral, the sum of opposite angles is 180°.

OBD is an equilateral triangle
73.
BOD = 60° AOD = 120°

CBA = 60°
In AMO Hence CAB = 30°
OA2 = OM 2 + AM 2 (Angle sum property)

(AB)2 = 4r2 – 4P2

Similarly AC2 = 4r2– 4q2
AB2 = 4AC2 ( AB = 2AC)
4r2 – 4p2 = 4(4r2 – 4q2)
4q2 = p2 + 3r2
