Instruction: All you need to do is to guess the

picture by tapping it to reveal the image.

Do you understand, class?

Yes, ma’am

(The teacher will call the name of the student)

(The students will
participate to the given
activity)
(After the activity)

Looking at all the pictures we’ve revealed. What was

our topic last meeting? Our topic last meeting is all
about legends, teacher!

Very good!

Can someone share his/her idea what is a legend?

qualities and story resonate with you personally.

I will show pictures of Disney Princesses. Take some

time to consider which princess you feel most drawn
to.

Once you’ve made your choice, write down or think

about why you chose that princess. Think about her
personality that you find admirable or relatable. I will
give you 2 minutes to choose and share it to the
class.

Today, to better understand our new topic. I will

show some math equations and all you have to do is
to solve it and find the corresponding pair of your
answer in the box in order to form a word.

D. Discussing new concept and practicing

new skills #1 and #2
I prepared here a video and all you need to do is to
watch and observe carefully what is in the video. Did
you understand class?

(The teacher will play the video)

https://youtu.be/E6asEc6ns0Q?si=7YD6k_LqX9f4Ro7

any idea what is a fairy tales?

Yes, Dianne
Fairy tales usually begin
with ‘once upon a time’ or
‘one day’.
Very good!

What else?
They have some magic.

Excellent!

Do you have any other idea?

Fairy tales are not realistic.

Very good! All your answers are correct.

Fairy tales are traditional stories that often feature

magical elements, fantastical creatures, and
enchanting settings. These tales typically involve
characters facing challenges or conflicts and often
end with a lesson or a happily-ever-after resolution.
They have been passed down through generations
orally and in written form, captivating audiences of
all ages.
In children's literature, fairy tales are the most
traditional and preferred form of storytelling. They
come from oral traditions and are found in all
cultures (Cisneros, 2017). Fairy tales have been
retold many times as they were passed down
through generations.

Hans Christian Andersen is best known as the father

of modern fairy tales.

Fairy tales often have the following elements:

Characterization

• Characters and objects have special powers

(like magic).
• Animals act like people.

Setting

• Imaginary places or other worlds.

• Time can be anytime or no time (like "Once
upon a time").

Plot

• Patterns that repeat, often in threes.

• Surprising twists.
• Things that can't happen in the real world.
• Simple actions in specific patterns.
• Starts with "Once upon a time" and has fast-
moving action.
• Conflicts solved with great deeds or kindness.

Theme

• Usually has a moral (like rags to riches, good

vs. evil).
• Uses magic to do the impossible.
• Reflects basic values (like good and evil,
justice, kindness).
Style

• Uses magic or powers not based on science.

Tone

• Emotions like love, fear, justice, greed,

kindness.
• Stories feel believable in a magical world.
• Characters' struggles seem real, and failure is
an option.

Point of View

• Often third-person narrative.

Fairy Tales Convention

• Stories where truth wins over lies, generosity

is rewarded, obstacles are overcome by hard
work and love, and good triumphs over evil.

New Skills # 2
Okay, class, gather around! Since all of you have
already know the story of Snow White and the Seven

Mirror on the Wall to see how much you

White and Team Dwarfs.
• All groups will say “Mirror, mirror on the wall”,
then a question will appear on the screen.
• The first team to ‘shout mirror, mirror on the
wall’ have the chance to say their answer and
will be given 5 seconds to say the answer and
if their answer is correct, they will choose
either an apple or a witch. Each apple and
witches have different point values. But if
their answer is wrong, the other group has
the chance to give the correct answer.
• The team who got the highest score will be
the winner!

Okay, class, today we’re going to explore a little
deeper into the story of Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs. We’ve identified the characters, setting, plot
but now we’re going to explore the heart of the

how it connects to your own lives.

Instructions:
• You will do the activity individually.
• Take a look at the apple chart. Each apple has
a question to help us think about the story’s
message.
• In every question write your answers in a
separate piece of paper. Be sure to use
examples from the story and your own
experiences to support your answers.
• Each of you will be given 5 minutes to answer
each question.
• After answering, we’ll use the spin-the-wheel
to randomly select students to share his/her
thoughts with the class.
• If you’re chosen, share your thoughts with the
class, then paste your answer on the apple
chart.

Do you understand the instructions, class?

even in difficult situation. Describe a time when you
showed kindness to someone else.

to Snow White. Who are some important people in
your life who show you loyalty and support? How do
these relationships make you feel?
3. If you were in a situation that you feel jealous or
envy, how do you deal with it?

G. Finding practical application of concept

and skills in daily living

For our next activity, you’ll work in pairs.

Instructions:

• Once you’ve found a pair. You’ll be
interviewing each other from the questions
provided. Think about your own experiences
and how you might answer the questions.
Remember, there is no right or wrong
answers, this is about sharing your thoughts
and perspectives.
• Write down your answers on a piece of paper.
• After you’ve finished interviewed each other,
we’ll share some of your insights with the
class.
• The teacher will call on a few pairs to share
their insights/answers to the class.

Interview Questions:
1. The Queen was driven by jealousy of Snow
White’s beauty. In real-life, how can jealousy or
insecurity affect relationships?
2. Despite being a stranger, the seven dwarfs
welcomed Snow White into their home. How
important is it to show kindness to people in need
even if you don’t know them well?

You may now start!
