    THIRSTY CROW Hello everybody. My name is .. Today, I would like to tell you a story of Thirsty Crow.

    Have you heard it? Im sure you havent. Ok, this is the story. One hot summer day, a thirsty crow flew all over the fields looking for water. KaakkkaakkkaakkOuughhIts very hot today. Im so thirsty. I have to find water soon. But where can I find water? I have flown miles away but theres no water below kaakkkaakkkkaakk. He has flown for a long time but he could not find any. He felt very weak, almost lost all hope. Kaakkkkaakk OughhGod, please help me. I cannot stand anymore, I feel so weak. I dont have any power to fly again. I am going to die.Kaakk.kaakkkaakk. Suddenly, he saw a water jug below the tree. Ehmm!! Whats down there? Wowthats a jug. I hope theres water inside. I am going to fly down there and see inside kaakkkaakkk He flew straight down to see if there was any water inside. Yes, he could see some water inside the jug! Hoorrayyy.theres water inside. But how can I drink the water? My beak is too big to get to the bottom and the jug was too narrow. Then he tried to push his head into the jug Ugghh.ughhI cannot reach it.ughh The crow could not reach the water inside the jug. Does Crow give up hope? No! He's tenacious and clever. He keeps on trying and he tried to push the jug to tilt for the water to flow out. Ehmm...I will push the jug down and when the jug was down, the water will flow out and I can drink as much as I can. Ughhughhcome onughhits too heavy.I even cannot move it. But, again the crow failed. The jug was too heavy; he could not make the jug down. The crow thought hard for a while. Then looking around him, he saw some pebbles. He suddenly had a good idea. Aha..!! I have an idea! There are many pebbles around here. I will put the pebbles into the jug and I am sure the pebbles will make the water raise and I can enjoy the water. Then he started picking up the pebbles one by one, dropping each into the jug. As more and more pebbles filled the jug, the water level kept rising. Soon it was high enough for the crow to drink. His plan had worked! Creppcrep..creppAhhh.thanks God. Its so refreshing. Finally I can drink as much as I can. Now, I can fly againKaakkk.kakk.kakk Well, friends. Thats all my story. It is interesting, right?     MOMOTARO Once upon a time, there lived in Japan a peasant and his wife. They were sad couple because they had no children. They kept praying to their God pleading to give a child. One day, while cutting wood by the river, the man saw a large peach floating on the water. "How delicious that peach must be! I must certainly get it and take it home to my wife." He ran to pick it up and brought it home. He ran fast. He wanted to meet his wife soon. As soon as he arrived home he called out his wife. Honeycome here quickly. I have something for you! You wont believe it. O..my husband, whats the matter? Why are you so impatient? Has anything happened? asked the wife. Oh, no! Nothing has happened, only I have found a nice present for you. Just look at this! Did you ever see such a large peach in all your life? His wife was very excited because she has never seen such a large peach before. Wowthis is indeed the largest peach Ive ever seen! Where did you buy it? "I did not buy it," answered the husband. "I found it in the river near the forest where I was cutting." And he told him the whole story. "I am very glad that you have found it. Lets eat it now, for I am hungry," said the wife. She brought out the kitchen knife, and, placing the peach on a board, was about to cut it when, wonderful to tell, the peach split in two of itself and a clear voice said: "Wait a bit, old woman! Dont cut me" and out stepped a beautiful little boy. The old man and his wife were both so astonished at what they saw that they fell to the ground. The boy spoke again: "Don't be afraid. I am no demon or fairy. I will tell you the truth. Heaven saw how lonely you were without any children and sent me to you. On hearing this, man and his wife were very happy and now that their prayer was answered. Then they named the child Momotaro, which meant Peach Boy. They loved him very much and raised him to be a fine boy. Years went by and Momotaro grew into a fine young man, making his parents even happier. One day, Momotaro told his parents that he was going to fight the pirates who always attacked their village. These pirates lived on an island a few kilometers away. Momotaros mother packed his food, and his father gave him a sword. Having blessed Momotaro, they sent him off on his journey. Mother, I cannot stand of the Pirates who always attack our village and take all we have. Please, let me go to beat him. I promise you that I will be back soon after I kill him. Ok, my son. "Go with all care and speed. We expect you back victorious!" said his mother "I am going now. Take good care of yourselves while I am away. Good- bye!" And Momotaro stepped quickly out of the house. Sailing his boat, Momotaro went to the island where the pirates live in. Soon, he arrived on the island of the pirates. He called out the pirates. Hipirates!! Come out. You have attacked and destroy my village. Now, I come here to beat and kill you! Hahahawho dare you come to this island and challenge me? You dont want to live anymore, do you? Before you beat me, Ill kill you first hahaha Momotaro drew out the sacred sword his father had given him and began to fight the pirates.

    Ciattt.haphapphap Momotaro and the pirates fought and fought. Not for long time, finally Momotaro could defeat the pirates. Cciaaaaatttttt..hahaha.finally I can beat you down. Go far away and dont bother my village or I kill you hahaha. The pirates hurriedly went away and Momotaro brought home all the goods that pirates had stolen. His parents were proud of him, and they were over enjoyed at his victory and safe return.
