INTRODUCTION
Tata Motors Limited, Established in 1945 is Indias largest

automobile company, with revenues of Rs. 170,678 crores in 2011-2012. Over 6.5 million TATA vehicles running in Indian roads, since the first car rolled out in 1954. No. 1 commercial vehicle manufacturer in India 4th largest manufacturer of truck in the world 3rd largest bus manufacturer in the world. The Tata Motors Group employs over 59,000 people. Our people are as diverse as our organisation, because they come from various nationalities and ethnicities, have a wide range of skill sets, knowledge and experience levels.

Recruitment
According to Edwin B. Flippo, Recruitment is the

process of searching the candidates for employment and stimulating them to apply for jobs in the organisation. Recruitment is the activity that links the employers and the job seekers.

JOB ANALYSIS :
Job analysis is a formal and detailed examination of

jobs. It is a systematic investigation of the tasks, duties and responsibilities necessary to do a job
Job Description

Job description includes basic job-related data that is useful to advertise a specific job and attract a pool of talent.
Job Specification

Also known as employee specifications, it include individual related attributes.

MAJOR POINTS IN RECRUITING THE CONTRACTOR/SERVICE PROVIDER


The contractors should have thorough knowledge about

the work to be performed. He should have skilled and experienced labours with valid licence. The workforce that the contractor have, should be Medically Fit and have a valid Reference. The labours should have coordination among themselves and have ability to resolve the conflicts. Check the previous work performance of the contractor. Try to get the review from the companies which he have mentioned in the form.

REGISTRATION OF CONTRACT LABOURS


Select the contractor on the basis of interview and

experience Check the Medical Reports & reference address of the selected labours Take the photocopy of all the qualification mark-sheet or documents, DL/PAN Card/House verification proof Make the gate pass of labours Decide the timings of Work Attendance should be taken electronically Issue them electronic card having their thumb impression Record the log-in and log-out timings

INTERNAL METHOD : Previous contractors, Previous Records, Labours employee referrals.

EXTERNAL METHOD:Gate Hiring Hiring through Contractors Word-of-Mouth From place where labours get assembled in the morning
INDIRECT METHOD :Advertisement Radio Local Television News papers ads.

ANALYSIS OF WORK QUALITY & EFFICIENCY OF LABOUR DEPLOYED AT WORK


FOR UNSKILLED LABOUR: Observe the work and method of doing work Record the duration of work performance Check the punctuality Check the log-in & log-out time of worker Ask whether he is comfortable in doing his work?.... If not, then ask for the reason.

FOR SEMI-SKILLED LABOURS : Select the particular area say computer data feeding worker Check the log-in & log-out time. Punctuality of doing work. Record the typing speed of the worker. Number of mistakes committed in one page. Check for accuracy (grammatical mistakes). Ask some questions through questionnaire method. Rank them according to their work performance.

FOR SKILLED LABOURS : Select a particular worker say driver Check the log-in & log-out time along with his punctuality. Do personal observation. Check him by giving him some critical incidents. Check his driving at low, medium & high speed. Check at which situation he changes his gear, uses breaks, and the way of using it. Check his concentration in driving. Ask some questions through questionnaire method. Rank them according to their work performance.

Research Objectives: To know how long the service providers are associated with TML To know what kind of services are provided by the service providers To know the source of hiring, process of selection and experience of service providers labours To know the process of verification of skills and character of service providers labours

Research Design Research design selected for this project is Descriptive.


Data collection Method: Primary Data Collection Method: Survey method was used for primary data collection. I used questionnaire as an instrument for survey method. Structured questionnaire.

Secondary Data Collection method: (a)Reference books. (b)Internet.

The population for this research study consists of the Service providers of Lucknow. In this study the sampling unit is Service Providers of TML 24 Service Providers

FINDINGS
TML gives opportunity to service Providers to be associated with it on the basis of their performance and also have good industrial relationship with them and also the service providers are loyal to them and want to establish long-term relationship with TML & provide service as per TMLs requirement 2) TML has a huge Numbers of man power with different kind of talent, the strength of these firm is also big and TML has varieties of Service provider with experience. 3) TMLs service providers provide experienced workforce. They help TML to maintain their level of Quality by providing them skilled and experienced labours/workforce. 4) The service providers of TML is associated with providing skilled workers, therefore helps in maintaining the Quality and the standards.

Difficulties that the Service Providers are facing with their employees and SUGGESTION
Some times their employee take leave with out informing

them and for this mistake some of the service providers fired out the employee. Solution to this problem is- the Service providers should not fired out the employee for this. Because that employee might have suffered with some major problem and have not get the time to inform the Service provider, Apart from firing him out, the Service Provider should listen to his problem, should help him for coming out of that situation. This will motivate him, and make him more sincere in his job performance. And for the vacant place, the service provider should send another person till the employee do not come back to his work again.

RECOMMENDATION
Process of gate pass regarding permanent workers should be

shortened. Wages should be given on time. Extra formalities should be reduced Select the employee on the bases of his skills and job performance and not on the basis of his certificates because he may perform better than the certificate holder. Reduce the Paper work and save the Environment. ATM should be available at Nearest Plant. Refreshment should be provided to workers in meanwhile timings to increase the work efficiency. Training should be provided to worker on the basis of 6 months so that they can learn more and give their out puts/result to the company. If the service provider deduct the ESI, PF from the employee, then please check that the service provider have properly deposited it or not. Some complaints related to punching of cards.
