IDBI is the tenth largest bank in the world in terms of development.


The National Stock Exchange (NSE), The National
Securities Depository Services Ltd. (NSDL), Stock Holding
Corporation of India (SHCIL) are some of the institutions which
has been built by IDBI.
IDBI is a strategic investor in number a of institutions
which have revolutionized the Indian Financial Markets.

Consultancy Services Organisation Of Karnataka

TECSOK

is a Government of Karnataka Organisation engaged


in providing multi-disciplinary consultancy services both to
investors and Government Departments / Organisations. Since
its inception in 1976, TECSOK has carried out wide range of
consultancy assignments.

intends to induct domain experts on contractual basis


to complement the in-house expertise available in the
organization. This will enable TECSOK to further explore the
potential available in the market by synergizing the strengths

Introduction of IFCI
The

government of India set up the


IFCI under the IFCI act in July in 1948.
It is the first development financial
institution in the country to cater to
the long term financial needs of the
industrial sectors.
The main objective of IFCI is to make
medium and long term credits more
readily available for industrial
concerns in India.

Role of IFCI

DISTRICT INDUSTRIES
CENTERS (DIC)
The

District Industries Centers (DICs) programme


was started in 1978 with a view to provide
framework at the district level for promotion of
small scale industries in rural areas.
Registration of small industries is done at the
district industries centre and PMRY (Pradhan
Mantri Rojgar Yojana) is also implemented by DIC.
The organizational structure of DICS consists of
General Manager, Functional Managers and Project
Managers to provide technical services in the areas
relevant to the needs of the district concerned.

The functions of DIC are:

To prepare and keep model project profiles for reference of the


entrepreneurs.

To prepare action plan to implement the schemes effectively


identified.

To conduct training programme .


To function as the technical consultant of DRDA in administering
IRDP(Integrated Rural Development Program) and TRYSEM
(TRAINING RURAL YOUTH FOR SELF EMPLOYMENT
TRYSEM) programme.

NIESBUD:
The

National Institute for Entrepreneurship and


Small Business Development (NIESBUD) was
established in 1983 by the then Ministry of
Industry [now Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium
Enterprises (MSMEs)], Government of India, as an
apex body for coordinating and overseeing the
activities
of
various
institutions/agencies
engaged in Entrepreneurship Development
particularly in the area of small industry and
small business. The Institute which is registered
as a Society under Societies Registration Act,
1860 (XXI of 1860), started functioning from 6th
July, 1983.

Introduction of SFC

A Central Industrial Finance corporation was set up under the industrial


Finance corporations Act, 1948 in order to provide medium and long
term credit to industrial undertakings which fall outside normal activities
of commercial banks.
The State governments expressed their desire that similar corporations be
set up in states to supplement the work of the Industrial financial
corporation.
State governments also expressed that the State corporations be
established under a special statue in order to make it possible to
incorporate in the constitutions necessary provisions in regard to majority
control by the government, guaranteed by the State government in regard
to the payment principal.
In order to implement the views Expressed by the State governments
the State Financial Corporation bill was introduced in the Parliament

State Financial Corporations (sfcs)

The state-level institutions have played an important role in the development of


small and medium enterprises in their respective states with the main objectives
of financing and promoting these enterprises for achieving balanced regional
growth.
The State Financial Corporations (sfcs) are state-level financial institutions,
operating as regional development banks playing a crucial role in the
development of small and medium enterprises in the states concerned in
tandem with national priorities.
There are 18 sfcs in the country, of which 17 were set up under the sfcs Act
1951.
Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Ltd. Established in 1949 under
the Companies Act as Madras Industrial Investment Corporation, also functions
as a SFC.

CEDOK was established in may 15, 1992


by Government of Karnataka.
An objective is to Skill Development
