PRESENTATION
The SA-3 Goa (Russian name S-125 Neva/Pechora) system began development in
1956 as a low- to medium-altitude surface-to-air missile systems
Working principles of Pechora S-125 air defense missile system
Generally there are two stages of Pechora S-125 air defense missile system
these stages are boost phase and midcourse .
Missile airframe consists of body, airfoil, and mechanisms that control the
ruddevators , ailerons and unfold the fins.
The airframe structure also includes fairing which closes the outer bunched
conductors and air pipelines
to prevent the missile air frame from a aerodynamic Heating the outer surface
wings and the ruddevators are coated with a heat- reflecting putty . Not to be
painted are the antennas of the radio control and guidance equipment,

The booster motor 5C45 ensures an inclined start of missile from the launcher .
The sustainer engine provides a faster increase in missile flight speed thus enabling to reach
the target impact point with in a preset time.
The arming set consists of a warhead (WHD) a radio fuse (RF) and safety and arming devices
(S&A devices ).
Flight control equipment ensures a control flight of the missile to the target impact point by
sending radio command from the ground guidance systemin accordance with the accepted
method of guidance.
Electrical system ensures switch in the electric circuit during preparation launch and flight of
missile.
