• A Tag is a scaling parameter, used when ordering the IIT 800xA Core System.
• A tag is an object including a faceplate aspect that provides data from different
sources (AC 800M Connect, OCS Connect or OPC products).
•A tag represents an object regardless of the number of data points it holds, exampels
are:
• signal objects, i.e. AI, AO, ...
• motor, valve objects

Structure What is a CLP?

A CLP (Control License Point) is a system wide scaling parameter, used when
ordering AC800M Control Software Integration license.
The calculation of CLPs is mainly based on variables connected in Engineering tools
to local and remote I/O channels.
Variables are connected to I/O channels via I/O or Fieldbuses, such as Modulebus,
FOUNDATION Fieldbus (FF) and Profibus-DP.
Connected INSUM and Drives devices are exceptions and are calculated based on
default CLP values, see below.

• Each connected variable of Boolean data type counts as 1 CLP

• Each connected variable of non-Boolean data type counts as 2 CLPs
• Each INSUM MCU counts as 7 CLPs
• Each ABB Standard Drive counts as 7 CLPs

Pricing News in SV3.1 pricing
 1 pricelist for all IIT 800xA software + 1 for extensions
 This pricelist will replace about 30 different pricelists for IIT products over time
 Scaling of software licenses are linear in SV3.1
 This reduces the complexity of the pricelists dramatically and makes it
possible to fit all software on 3 pages instead of maybe 100 pages in total
earlier
 Hardware pricelists remain the same as earlier
 It will still be possible to purchase SB2 software since SV3.1 do not cover
the PLC range of our offering
 AC800 hardware will include functionality according to the previous
“Basic” license level
 Hardware price increased due to this
 AC800M software integration decreased as compared to Advanced license to
compensate for this

 Transfer prices have been increased as agreed on BA
management level
 No increase for S800 (Transfer Price = 0.5*List)
 Average increase of 20% for all other products (Transfer Price =
0.6*List)

to currency exchange rates for USD, CAD and GBP

 It is only relevant to make competitor comparisons on a

system level since different vendors have different
pricing philosophies:
 Delta V has low price on Operator interfaces and high price on
controllers…
 Siemens charge a lot for engineering tools and less on control
and OS…
 …If we should match the competitors on each single part of the
system we would become very low on the complete system

 Alternatively you could use a separate engineering system
 We do not have any concept for additional engineering
workplaces needed during engineering/commissioning as of
now, and for SV 3.1 it will not be possible to temporary add
engineering workplaces.

 This is "hard coded" in SOFA. No other configurations for a demo
license will be possible
 Time limited (for now we accept 30days)
 Demo license is retrieved from SOFA

additions or libraries to fit with the IIT 800xA core system
 Defined license configuration (Core system, Aspect Express, Aspect Studio,
HART DTM Builder, Library Assistant, 100 Tags(smallest step))
 Conditions defined in a generic quotation
 Internal license is ordered "as usual", with reference to the generic quotation
 Internal license is ordered, with reference to the generic quotation, from a
separate service referred from the AWDN
 Upon approved order, licenses according to the definition above are created
directly in SOFA.
 Media (product box with DVD, or CDs) ordered "as usual" from the IIT 800xA
media and documentation price list.

Pricing Export Control
 Industrial IT 800xA is possible to sell to the T7 countries (Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya,
North Korea, Sudan, Syria) with the following restrictions
 Not possible for US companies (Please contact Ken Teslik/USABB)
 Not possible to sell the Information Management parts (Basic Historian Server / Desktop
Trends / Excel Data Acess / Multi-display-Interface (MDI) Client) since Oracle is included
in the IM.
 If all of Harmony Connect, Asset Monitors and SQL Server 2000 are included no U.S.
operating system is allowed in the supply.
 In most other cases Win2000/XP can be supplied but only together with the Industrial IT
800xA Software.
 Windows 2000/XP may not (as a separate product) be supplied to the T7-countries
without a license from the U.S. DoC.

 Since the license depends on the configuration, the Export Control within ABB must
review all the involved components case-by-case to assure that the level is below the
10 %-US content level before a supply to any of the T7-countries can take place.
