MAJOR ACCIDENT HAZARD (MAH) PREMISES
Out of total 325512 premises licenced by PESO 35518 are MAH premises.
As per MSIHC Rules 1989 every MAH premises shall make on site emergency plan
duly approved by PESO and offsite emergency plan duly approved by District
Authority.
As per MSIHC Rules 1989 third party safety audit of MAH premises shall be conducted
every year.
Any remedial measure suggested by PESO after safety audit shall be complied by the
premises.
As per Chemical Accident (Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response) Rule
1996 mock drill shall be conducted periodically to check preparedness.
