MAJOR ACCIDENT HAZARD (MAH) PREMISES
 Out of total 325512 premises licenced by PESO 35518 are MAH premises.
 As per MSIHC Rules 1989 every MAH premises shall make on site emergency plan
duly approved by PESO and offsite emergency plan duly approved by District
Authority.
 As per MSIHC Rules 1989 third party safety audit of MAH premises shall be conducted
every year.
 Any remedial measure suggested by PESO after safety audit shall be complied by the
premises.
 As per Chemical Accident (Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response) Rule
1996 mock drill shall be conducted periodically to check preparedness.
