Schedule Refinement
Your schedule fulfills two roles
Firstly it is a working, planning document that can
be adjusted depending upon how the project
proceeds with the goal of finishing on time Schedule
Secondly it embodies and demonstrates your
practitioner knowledge and practice
This means that you can refine and adjust the task
descriptors and deliverables to reflect your
improving practitioner knowledge and skills
In other words the Schedule will be adjusted and
improved as you proceed Practitioner

Statement
Statement
Once your design work is underway, you should
start to write your Practitioner Statement
Investigation and Application
In the time available, and with the breadth of programmes
involved in the module, it is impossible to supplement the
teaching significantly with information of methods and
approaches
However, as with all modules at Level 3, you are expected to
‘read’ around and investigate/research
In this context, this means investigation and applying
contemporary approaches and methods in your own
professional practice
You will glean ideas from your past and current modules
But by developing good practitioner behaviours you will
improve your chances of achieving a high mark for the
Practitioner Statement
Report Formatting
The Practitioner Statement is a seven page narrative
Only your OWN diagrams are allowed, but a minimum of five full
pages of written textual information is required
You may use a maximum of six section headings
None of the following are allowed
Bullets, lists, tables, diagrams you have taken from books,
papers or the web
You should write in paragraphs, approximately three to the page
The content of the Practitioner Statement needs to be a very
close match to the Schedule.
No tool or technique should be implemented without some
explanation of its use in the Practitioner Statement and vice
versa
Feedback
As soon as you have started to write
your Practitioner Statement, seek
feedback from your client (tutor)
Do not leave the writing of this Schedule
statement until the end of the project
The statement needs to be well
written and presented
So this needs iterative development
and refinement
