care facilities refers to prompt actions

for human survival. 2
 The immediate action by the
healthcare workers can make the
difference between life and death.

3
LEARNING OUTCOME

1. Define cardiopulmonary resuscitation

2. Define what is the purpose of CPR

the person's lungs.
 Chest compressions keep oxygen-rich
blood flowing until the heartbeat and
breathing can be restored.

6
PURPOSE OF CPR
1. To maintain an open and clear airway.
2. To maintain breathing by external
ventilation
3. To maintain Blood circulation by
external cardiac massages
4. To save life of the Patient.
5. To provide basic life support till
medical and advanced life support
arrives. 7
STEP ON CPR

IS THE AIRWAY OPEN?

11
STEP 5
B – breathing
 Scan for breathing (look,feel,listen)

12
STEP 6
C – circulation & chest compression
 If not breathing or abnormal breathing
(gasping),no pulse,start CPR

13
HOW TO PERFORM CPR

compression
 Minimize interruption
