Reflective Summary
PPST STRAND:
7.4. Professional reflection and learning to improve practice
REFLECTIVE SUMMARY:

When the pandemic started, we were truly clueless of what’s

going to happen. We assumed that it’s not going to last but it
backfired and when it comes to education, everything
suddenly changed. Everything was new to us and that new
was normal. Learning Delivery Modalities Course 2 (LDM
2) for Teachers was also part of it. Since we have no face to
face classes, this is the only way to challenge us, in a positive
way. Because of this, we have embraced new knowledge and
skills in selecting and implementing the appropriate
approaches to the Printed Modular Learning Instruction
offered in our school. We were also trained to prepare
Weekly Home Learning Plans (WHLP) properly and choose
the appropriate Learning Resources (LRs) to supplement the
Self-Learning Modules (SLMs). In absence of SLMs, we also
made our own Learning Activity Sheets (LAS). We have also
enhanced our abilities to plan strategies on how to deal with
the problems regarding our students, especially for those who
don’t have internet connection at home.
If you ask me if this collection of works reflects our abilities,
I say “YES”. Other than embracing new knowledge and
skills, this LDM course helped me achieve a good
camaraderie with my co-teachers, students, guardians and
parents. Also, this made me realize that I can be a better
version of myself and I learned how to sympathize more with
other people, especially the guardians and parents.

Reflective Summary
PPST STRAND:
7.4. Professional reflection and learning to improve practice
REFLECTIVE SUMMARY:

LDM 2 Course for Teachers made us better understand

that as teachers, we need to adapt to the new system of
learning delivery to address not only ours but also the
learners needs. Our school’s modality is Modular
Learning and if you ask me before, I don’t have any
idea about it since LDM 2 for Teachers was not yet
introduced. This course did its job and relieved our
worries.
If us, teachers, are struggling, how much more our
students? They should be very confused because they
were robbed of the fun things and memories they
should be having inside the classroom. Aside from all
the realization I have, I am still admiring the
Department of Education because of trying to move
forward despite this pandemic and I am thankful to this
course. It served as an experience and it was a great
help in performing my tasks well. This experience will
serve as a bridge for me to achieve a lot more and this
will help me in my career path as a teacher.

ANNOTATION: My Reflective Summary describes my personal experience in

implementing Distance Delivery Modalities Course 2 (LDM 2) for Teachers,
shows depth of analysis and synthesis of this experience, and how I relate it to
professional standards and to my professional and personal development goals. To
sum it up, LDM 2 Course for Teachers capacitated me an approaches and
innovations that improved my performance in managing technological resources to
address the needs of my students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
