The Father, The Son, and The

Donkey
Based on the story of Aesop
Retold by Min Arkar
PREQUAL
• The man, and his son had a plan to travel on a long quest, so
they bought their pet donkey to make the journey quicker.
 The strength of the father was long gone due to a great amount of time of war, and
battle. The cause had been so destructive that the father’s effect had been a great
downfall, and he had become weak since then.

 The father’s work, and his great

performance had made him have what he
deserved, a vacation for fun. During the
periods of the war, the father was in such a
terrible state that he could no longer walk
like the youth. So, with the help of the
donkey, he had travelled to the place that
he wanted to go since he was old, and
frail.
FABLE
AS USUAL, THE MAN JUMPED
ON THE DONKEY, WHILE HIS
GORGEOUS YOUTH STROLLED
ALONG THE SIDE OF THE
DONKEY.
After a few minutes, the man, the son, and
the donkey approached a group of people
who commented “ Old man, do you like to
heat the youthful kid up in the hot sun while
you can deal with the heat ? ’’ Desperate by
the comment, the old father jumped off the
donkey, and let his son onto the donkey.

Fable

 After the last encounter, another

encounter unfolded. The person said
'' How could you treat yourself like
this? While your kid can walk in the
son like an easy mode, why don’t
you get on the donkey since you
can’t handle the heat? ’’ By hearing
the comment, both the father and
son jumped on the donkey, and
continued their journey.

Fable

 Not long after, they arrived in

another village, and they heard
a comment made by a group of
people saying “ What cruel,
and brutal people you are !
How could you treat the poor
donkey like your slave? ’’. Once
again, the son and his father
jumped off the donkey, and
continued their journey.
Fable
• When they got to the next
village, they overheard a
person gossiping, “ didn’t
they go to school? While
they can freely ride the
donkeys, they walk like they
are slaves of someone! ’’.
Fable
•  The
father glared at his son
saying “ Remember son, there’s
no wisdom you can apply,
there’s no moral conduct you
can portray, there’s no path you
can take, that will ever satisfy
the people of the world.”
MORAL LESSON
•“ You will never ever please people
with your actions no matter how hard
you try, so be yourself, and choose the
way which you think is the best ’’
