WHAT IS A MODEL?
* A model is a tool that is commonly used to represent
any idea, thought, or concept in a more straightforward
manner using diagrams, visual representations, and etc.
1 SPEAKER
• The speaker is simply the person who is delivering, or presenting, the
speech.
• The speaker is the main figure in communication. This person is fully
responsible for all communication.
• Speaker plays the most important role in communication and it is the only
one who holds the responsibility to influence his/her audience through
public speaking. It is the speaker’s role to deliver a speech to the audience.

2 SPEECH
• The speaker must be very careful about his selection of words and content in this
model of communication. He should understand his target audience and then
prepare his speech.
• The speaker should construct and organize his/ her speech beforehand according to
the target audience and situation (occasion).
• The content of the speech must be very impressive to influence the mass and the
speaker must design the message very carefully.
• The speech must be clear as well as the speaker must have very good non-verbal
communication with the audience like eye contact.
