Seven Sunday’s Main Characters
Allan A. Bonifacio (Aga Bryan Bonifacio (Dingdong Cha Bonifacio (Cristine
Muhlach) The older Dantes) is the middle child Reyes) is the only woman brother of the siblings among his siblings. among the siblings.
Capt. Manuel Bonifacio
Dexter Bonifacio (Enrique (Ronaldo Valdez), the Gil) is the youngest of the father of his four children, siblings. he is a widow because his wife died early. Seven Sunday’s Story The story starts when Capt. Manuel is celebrating his birthday. His sons greeted him through video calls, but sadly, no one of his children visited him on his birthday because they were too busy with their work and their own families. At the last minute of Capt. Manuel’s birthday, Dr. Nelson visited, and Manuel’s found out he was sick with lung cancer, so he messaged all his children to say to them that he was dying. They wanted Capt. Manuel to have a second opinion with another doctor, but Capt. Manuel didn't want that. Capt. Manuel wanted to spend time with his children on his last seven Sundays. Seven Sunday’s Story But his children have a problem with a schedule. Allan's ABC store is about to go bankrupt, and his wife is pregnant. Bryan is busy at work, Cha is busy taking care of her children, and only Dexter went to Capt. Manuel's house because he is hiding from the authorities because he is involved in a festival event scam. On the first Sunday, they planned to surprise Capt. Manuel with a party, But Capt. wasn’t really surprised because Jun confessed about the party, and he told Capt. Manuel to pretend that he was surprised. Then he went to the house and pretended that he was surprised at their son’s party. The party went well from the start, but then people started to get bored. Seven Sunday’s Story Then Capt. Manuel had an idea and asked them to play basketball, so his sons and grandsons did, but they began to misunderstand each other and began to argue. Capt. Manuel started to get annoyed and brought a knife and asked them to just kill each other if they didn't stop arguing. The next Sunday, they apologized to Capt. Manuel and asked him what he wanted to do and where he wanted to go, and they did what Capt. Manuel wanted. On the night of the same day, Doc Nelson called Capt. Manuel to say his first diagnosis was false. He did not have lung cancer, just TB. Capt. Manuel is about to tell the good news, but he is afraid that if they knew, they would not visit him again, so he keeps it secret. On the third Sunday, they go to the beach for vacation, making many memories. They play, and lastly, Capt. Manuel reads all the letters from his son and wife that he kept when he was abroad. Seven Sunday’s Story On the fourth Sunday, Capt. Manuel asked Dexter to join him in buying ice cream at the ABC store. Mr. Kim came and started to talk to Allan about buying the ABC store. And Capt. Manuel was shocked because he didn’t know that the store was starting to go bankrupt. Allan confessed to Capt. Manuel that their store was falling apart. The following day, some authorities found Capt. Manuel's house where Dexter lived to talk about the festival scam, but Camille saved him and misled the authorities. Camille began to inquire about it, and they went to the restaurant where Camille worked, and Dexter started to confess about the festival scam. After that, Dexter sees Cha's husband with a college woman and punches him in the face for cheating on his older sister. Seven Sunday’s Story In another point of view, Capt. Manuel calls Bryan to help his older brother Allan with the store. Bryan visits Allan and they talk about the store. Then Allan hugs him, and they talk about each other. Bryan confesses to Allan that he already has a son, and Allan was shocked and advises Bryan some thoughts. The following day, Allan went to the hospital with his wife to have a check-up on their baby. After that, he started to talk to Dr. Nelson about his father's condition, and he found out that his father had only TB and not lung cancer. He went to his father's home and confronted him. Then he advised his father to tell his siblings about his condition as soon as possible. Seven Sunday’s Story They went to see their father on the fifth Sunday night. They started talking about something, and they were all happy until the tragedy happened. It started when Dexter confronted his older sister, Cha, about her husband, whom he saw in the restaurant. After that, Dexter went to his room where he heard his father and Jun talking to each other. He found out that his father was not sick. He left the room to talk to his older brother Bryan about that, but Bryan confronted him first about the festival scam. Because his older brother's boss's son was one of a victim of that scam, and when they started arguing, their sibling came to stop them. Seven Sunday’s Story But then Dexter switched the topic to Cha's husband and many confrontations happened between them until at last they knew that their father was not sic and Allan defended their father. Then Allan and Bryan started arguing and throwing hurtful words, and then they all got dramatic and started to leave their father's house one by one. On the sixth Sunday, Allan went to his brother and brought crispy pata to reconcile. Then they started to say sorry to each other. After that, they went to Camille’s house to see their other brother, Dexter, and apologized to him. Seven Sunday’s Story Then they went over to their sister's house and apologized to her as well. And then they accompanied Bryan to support his meet-up with ex-girlfriend Juliana and his son, after that, they went to the cemetery and found their father talking to the grave of their wife, And they apologized to their father for all of their lack of care for him. And on the seventh day, they open a new store, from ABC store to ABCD store, and become a happy family. Seven Sunday’s Lesson The lesson of the story is to appreciate our parents and make them feel that we love them, not just at the time they are near death, but while they are still with us. The second is to love our siblings even if we sometimes have misunderstandings and conflicts with them. Never remove them from your life because of these conflicts but use this conflict to strengthen your relationship with them. Like the siblings in the story, they have many conflicts and misunderstandings with each other, but in the end, they apologize and forgive each other. And lastly, always have a good bond with your family.
