Acknowledgement
Sincerely first of all I would thanking our professor Dr Ujjwal Kalla Sir for
giving the opportunity for visiting MANIT substation as a site visit. From
this visit it helped us learn how a substation look like and how it work for
our enhancement of knowledge in this subject ,rather than a bookish
knowledge.

SUBSTATION
A substation is a high-voltage electric system facility. It is used
to switch generators, equipment, and circuits or lines in and out
of a system. It also is used to change AC voltages from one level
to another, and/or change alternating current to direct current or
direct current to alternating current
PURPOSE
The purpose of a substation is to 'step down' high voltage
electricity from the transmission system to lower voltage
electricity so it can be easily supplied to homes and businesses in
the area through lower voltage distribution lines.
ABOUT MANIT
33KV SUBSTATION
-IT IS A 33KV/43V SUBSTATION,WHICH IS CONNECTED IN GRID PATTERN
-THE TRANSMISSION LINES ARE CONNECTED IN PARALLEL WAY WITH
METERING UNIT, THE LINES HAD RED YELLOW BLUE COLOUR
SEPERATLY
-THEN CONNECTED IN SERIES WITH 33KV ISOLATOR THEN IT CONNECTED
TO POTENTIAL TRANSFORMER AND CURRENT TRANSFORMER.
-THEN STEPS DOWN THE VOLTAGE FROM 33KV TO 11KV BY STEPDOWN
TRANSFORMER.

11KV TO 433V ,WHICH WE USED
