The building is 220 yards long,

TURNING TORSO
Turning Torso is a 190-meter tall
residential skyscraper
The building gets its name from its
unique shape, which is based on a
twisting torso.
features 147 apartments, as well as office
space and a conference center.
Concept

The design consists of nine cubes that
rotate around a vertical axis, creating a
spiral shape. The building's exterior is
clad in aluminum panels and glass, which
reflect the changing light and give the
building a dynamic appearance.
The tower twists 90 degrees from the
ground up, with each floor rotated slightly
more than the one below it, creating a
dynamic and fluid form.
