• It is defined by a massive atrium with a
thin central skylight that runs the length
of the space.
• The atrium is at the perfect center of
the two outstretched wings.
• Permanent stores are pushed to the
perimeter of the atrium while the central
area is reserved for circulation and
flexible events and exhibitions.

TURNING TORSO
 Turning Torso is a 190-meter tall
residential skyscraper
 The building gets its name from its
unique shape, which is based on a
twisting torso.
 features 147 apartments, as well as office
space and a conference center.

 The design consists of nine cubes that
rotate around a vertical axis, creating a
spiral shape. The building's exterior is
clad in aluminum panels and glass, which
reflect the changing light and give the
building a dynamic appearance.
 The tower twists 90 degrees from the
ground up, with each floor rotated slightly
more than the one below it, creating a
dynamic and fluid form.
