This document describes the analysis and design of a 5-story commercial building using STAAD Pro software. The objectives are to model the building as a 3D frame, analyze it using response spectrum analysis for seismic loading, design the beams and columns, and compare the software design to manual calculations. Key steps include creating the 3D model, applying dead and live loads, obtaining bending moment and stress diagrams, designing representative beams and columns, and checking for code compliance. The document outlines the building properties, structural model, load cases, and conclusions that the software reduces time and improves accuracy compared to manual design.

Designing and analysing of G+5 multi storied quarters
using analysing software STAAD Pro. Structural analysis is the backbone of civil engineering. During recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on using computer aided software's and tools to analyse the structures. These developments are most welcome, as they relieve the engineer of the often-lengthy calculations and procedures required to be followed while large or complicated structures are analysed using classical methods. But not all the time such detailed analysis is necessary to be performed. Now-a-days, high rise buildings and multistorey buildings are common in metropolitan cities. These multistorey buildings have large number of Joints which are free to move and it is very difficult and time consuming when it analysed manually. Hence the computer method for analysis is used using the modern analysing software STAAD Pro. OBJECTIVE OF WORK
This project report comprises of seismic analysis and
design of a five storied R.C. building with asymmetrical plan. The building is modelled as a 3D space frame with six degrees of freedom at each node using the software STAAD PRO CONNECT. Building is analysed using Response Spectrum method. The Response Spectra as per IS 1893 (Pan l): 2002 for rocky or hard soil is used. Adequate modes of vibrations of the building to contribute more than 90% mass are considered for the analysis Analysis is performed for various load cases and combinations and the worst case is considered for the design of beams and columns. Reinforced concrete design is carried out as Per IS 456: 2000 and ductile detailing is done as per IS 13920: 1993. Various static checks are applied on the results. Finally, the design obtained from the software is compared by manual design of typical ground storey beams and columns. BUILDING PBBR METHODOLOGY OBBPERTIES BUILDING PROPERTIESBB

Designing using Software’s like Staad reduces
lot of time in design work. Details of each and every member can be obtained using staad pro. All the List of failed beams can be Obtained and also Better Section is given by the software. Accuracy is Improved by using software. THANK YOU
