Question
Why do we only see the top of the iceberg
if it says there is more down below?

Place where it will be tested
Pineda’s house, and by a meeting, we will be
taking note of what happens to the ice
Purpose of the eperiment
With this experiment we want to test
different types of water (fresh or salty)
and the reaction that the ice will have,
also by making combinations we want
to see if it reacts differently. to
conclude, we will investigate why ice
reacts that way and also deal with this
experiment to answer our main question
Combinations
Water with Salt, Ice
Salt in Water Sugar in the Water with Sugar

Ice with Salt Ice with Sugar

Ice and water Salt in the Water
To have a basis for comparison, Then we decide to add salto to the
we started by experimenting, with water, this didn’t melt as fast as it
ice and water (with nothing added) did before, the water Turner White
and seein what happen. due to the salt the ice floats and it
takes time to melt, it makes
medium bubbles, at the end, it was
melting very fast
Sugar in the Water with salt,
water ice with sugar
The water sugar makes The ice melted very fast
the ice melt a Little but and it retated a Little,
isn’t very noticeable, small bubble came out
some seconds later we
could notice that the ice
melted very fast and
bubbles come out
Ice with
Ice with salt Sugar
It takes more time to melt Happen the same that the
tan the experiments that first experiment (Water
we have done before. and ice,(NORMAL)), it
Bubbles didn’t appears started to melt, and
bubbles appeared
In our experiments we could see that
water has different reactions defended
from the subseembles iceberg is that
of the ice with salt, which takes much
longer melt than in the base
experiment

Conclusions
We can conclude that the ice melts due
to te temperature at which the water is
in addition to the fact that the water
takes the temperature of the ice, this is
why when the ice melts into water, the
water remains cold. The same happens
with icebergs, as the years go by, some
melt faster than others depending on
their size and type of water in wich
they are found
Final hypothesis
Why do we only see a part of the iceberg?
What we can see of the iceberg is only 11%.
It is determined by applying Archimede’s principle.
Despite its dimensions, the laws of physics relating to the
bouyancy of bodies are fullfilled regardless of their size.
This means that when we see masses of tens of kilometers,
in reality we only see a tiny part of the total size of the
iceberg
