Generalization
a. Unit Fractions
To order/arrange fractions with the same
numerators but different
denominators, compare their
denominators. The greater the
denominator of the fraction, the lesser the
fraction.
b. Dissimilar Fractions

To order/arrange fractions with the different


numerators and denominators, we change them
first to similar fractions by finding
the LCD of the denominators. Then, rename the
fractions to its equivalent using the LCD.
When all fractions are already renamed with the
same denominators, the numerators can be now
compared:

 the greater the numerator, the greater the


value of the fraction.
 the lesser the numerator, the lesser the value
of the fraction.
