Insulated Case Ground Fault Protector Low Voltage Power

Molded case Circuit Breaker (MCCB)
 Widest selection in the industry—from
15A through 6000A. Commonly used
in UL 67 individual enclosures and
panel boards and UL 891
switchboards, these circuit breakers
include the industry's leading
technology with a complete array of
functions that enhance reliability.
Features include:

•Push-to-trip—allows for easily checking of all functions without

the need for expensive test equipment.
•Permanent trip—integral to the MCCB and factory calibrated to
industry standards
•Trip-free mechanism—allows breaker to trip even with the handle
locked or held in the ON position
•Trip indication—operating handle snaps into center position providing
•easy identification
Miniature Circuit breakers

 Most of these miniature circuit breakers

protect electrical circuits from overcurrent
by thermal type trip and short circuits by
magnetic trip. Miniature circuit breakers
are physically small and protect relatively
low amperages: usually 10 - 150A. They
are available in 1, 2, and 3-poles, and
used in 120V, 120/240V, 240V, and
480Y/277V ac and up to 125V dc systems.
They usually have a toggle operating
mechanism for manual disconnect and to
show the breaker status. Several different
product lines are available for use in UL67
individual enclosures, load centers,
panelboards, and OEM equipment. They
are tested to UL489 Molded Case Circuit
Breaker standard.
Insulated Case Circuit Breakers

 The industry's leading line of medium to

large size circuit breakers, featuring the
Masterpact® NW/NT series, which leads
the industry with higher interrupting
ratings, smaller footprint, and more
accessories, including our exclusive "P" trip
unit, which provides built-in PowerLogic®
power monitoring capabilities. These circuit
breakers are commonly used in UL891
switchboard applications, serving large
industrial and large commercial facilities.

•200 A to 6000 A (highest ampere ratings in the industry)

•3- and 4-pole

•Used in systems up to 600 Vac and 500 Vdc

(some designs offer 1000 Vac and 1000 Vdc)
Low Voltage Power Circuit Breakers
 The industry's leading line of medium to
large size circuit breakers, which leads
the industry with higher interrupting
ratings, smaller footprint, and more
accessories, including "P" trip unit, which
provides built-in Power Logic® power
monitoring capabilities. These breakers
are commonly used in ANSI C37/UL1558
switchgear, serving large industrial and
large continuous process and data
processing commercial facilities.

•200 A to 6000 A

•3- and 4-pole

•Used in systems up to 635Vac

Circuit Breakers with Arc Flash
Protection
 Arc flash incidents on faulted, industrial equipment cause injuries
and deaths in the workplace each year, despite awareness of and
compliance with safety rules. Fused switches and fused circuit
breakers have typically provided arc flash protection. Today,
however, the breakthrough technology of the Masterpact NW and
NT circuit breaker represents an effective arc flash solution –
without the use of, and problems associated with, fuses.
Designed to interrupt large fault currents without fuses,
Masterpact NW and NT circuit breakers clear faults very quickly
and provide comparable arc flash protection to fuses at high
currents and better arc flash protection at lower currents. Plus,
they eliminate problems common to fused switches and fused
circuit breakers, including:

•Hazards associated with changing fuses

•Higher installation and service life costs
•Larger equipment size
•Required maintenance for mechanical hardware and wear items
including the fuse holder, blown fuse indicators and single phasing
Devices
•Higher energy costs due to additional resistances in the fuse holder and
•connections
Circuit Breakers with Arc Flash
Protection
Benefits
 Comparable or better arc flash incident energy and
personnal protection to fuse protected circuit breakers
 Reliable power
 Adjustability for coordination and continuity of service
 Smaller footprint
 Reduced maintenance needs
 High interrupting ratings without fuses: Masterpact NW
=
200,000 A at 508 VAC
 Circuit breakers designed for all applications:

•High withstand-rated circuit breakers for system coordination

•High close and latch ratings for systems with high inrushes, etc
•Quick-opening designs for high available fault currents
•Quick-opening designs for arc flash protection without fuses
GFP Ground-fault Protectors

 Multi 9 GFP Ground-fault Protectors are Listed per UL 1053 to

provide ground fault protection for electrical equipment. They open
a circuit automatically upon detecting a ground fault or earth
leakage greater than 30 mA, 100 mA or 300 mA, depending on the
model. The GFP Ground-fault Protectors are available in three
versions, for loads up to 100 amps:
•Two poles for 120 or 240 Vac
•Two poles for 277 or 480Y/277 Vac
•Four poles for 240 Vac to 480Y/277 Vac

Values for End-User

•Reduces downtime needed to repair equipment, by

detecting low-level
ground faults before they cause major damage
•Withstands harsh industrial environments – humidity
and electrical noise
•Indirectly protects personnel from fires,
malfunctioning equipment, etc.
