• There are conventional floor cleaning machines available to perform floor cleaning operations. Generally a conventional
floor cleaning machines requires electrical energy for its operation.
• In India, especially in summer there is power crisis, in majority of places. Hence cleaning the floor using the conventional
floor cleaning machines is difficult without electricity.
•An effort has been made to develop a manually operated floor cleaning machine so that it can be an alternative for
conventional floor cleaning machines during power crisis.
• Major objectives are to achieve simultaneous dry and wet cleaning in a single run, to make the machine cost effective
and to reduce the maintenance cost of the manually operated floor cleaning machine as far as possible.
2) “solar operated multifunctional by vikrant bhute, piyush ladse, Developed countries use automated vacuum
floor cleaning machine” (2) aniket ingle, nitesh rane. (2023) cleaners because of high cost of labour, time,
efforts and affordability. The concept is not
popular in developing or emerging economic
countries. Project is based upon on
innovation to design, develop and
manufacture semi-automatic floor cleaning
machine which will work on solar energy,
battery or electricity.

(2022). These devices need an electrical energy for its operation and not
user friendly.. Hence it is a need to develop low cost, user friendly
floor cleaning machine. In this project, an effort has been made to
develop a solar powered mobile operated floor cleaning machine so
that it can be an alternative for conventional floor cleaning
machines.

5) design of dust collector for abhishek chakraborty, ashutosh The present work is aimed to design a dust collector system for high
four-wheeler (5) bansal (2013) clearance four-wheelers to minimize the level of non-exhaust
emissions to some extent. The model consists of a centrifugal fan to
absorb dust before it spreads and pollutes the air, which is to be
placed on and above the rear side of a wheel. Calculation is
performed to determine the accuracy of the model by using the
reference concentrations of fugitive dust generated by a vehicle
travelling on road
6) design & development of road ashish patil, pranav patil, Our design proposes and successfully implement the use of
side cleaning machine (6) jaywant patil, rohit ingawale, scrubber and brush that will remove the dust and collect it into the
sanket nalawade, amar patil storage box in which the scrubber is driven by engine which
(2022) removes the dust and throws it into the path of brush. This brush is
driven by speed amplification mechanism which consists of chain
and gear drive separately
Problem Definition
• To develop an advanced robotic vacuum cleaner that effectively cleans different indoor surfaces,
navigates autonomously, offers user-friendly control, has a long-lasting battery, integrates with smart
home systems, minimizes noise, and addresses environmental and safety concerns while maintaining
competitive pricing.
• To design and build a versatile floor cleaning robot capable of sweeping, mopping, and sterilizing various floor
surfaces.
• To improve domestic chore automation, maintaining a clean and sanitary atmosphere while reducing human
effort and time spent on floor upkeep.
• The scope of a floor cleaner robot project encompasses various aspects, including:
• Navigation System: Implementation of intelligent navigation and mapping algorithms to enable the robot to move
autonomously, avoiding obstacles and covering the entire floor area.
• Cleaning Mechanism: Integration of effective cleaning mechanisms, such as brushes, suction, or mopping features,
depending on the type of floor and cleaning requirements.
• User Interface: Development of a user-friendly interface for controlling the robot, setting cleaning schedules, and
monitoring its status.
• Sensors and Perception: Incorporation of sensors like cameras, infrared, or ultrasonic sensors for obstacle
detection, floor type recognition, and environmental awareness.

1) Room dimensions
V = 0.345 m/s
Length of room (Assumption) = 5 m (L)
Considering efficiency of power delivered
Breadth of room (Assumption) = 5 m (B) to motor = 90%
2) Calculating the Speed of Robot Speed delivered or Speed of Robot (Vr) =
Number of drive motors = 2 V*0.9 = 0.310 m/s
