INTRODUCTION

Robotics is an interdisciplinary
branch of computer science and
engineering. Robotics involves the design,
construction, operation, and use of robots.
The goal of Robotics is to design
machines that can help and assist humans.
Robotics integrates fields of mechanical
engineering, electrical engineering,
information engineering, mechatronics
engineering, electronics, biomedical
engineering, computer engineering,
control systems engineering, software
engineering, mathematics, etc.
These machines – commonly called robots –
are either controlled by humans or work
entirely under the supervision of a computer
application and algorithms. Robotics is a
comprehensive concept that includes the
building, planning and programming of robots.
These robots are in direct contact with the
physical world – and they have often been used
to perform monotonous and repetitive tasks
instead of human beings. Robots can be
categorised based on their size, application
domain or purpose, and we will discuss this
later.
APPLICATION
 Military robots.

 Cobots (collaborative robots).

 Construction robots.

 Agricultural robots (AgRobots).

 Medical robots of various types

(such as da Vinci Surgical
System and Hospi).

 Nanorobots ,Autonomous
drones.
COMPONENTS
Robots are built to present solutions to a variety of needs and fulfil several different
purposes, and therefore, require a variety of specialized components to complete these
tasks. However, there are several components that are central to every robot’s construction,
like a power source or a central processing unit. Generally speaking, robotics components
fall into these five categories:
 CONTROL SYSTEM
 POWER SUPPLY
 SENSORS
 END EFFECTORS
 ACTUATORS
TYPES
There Are Five Types of Robots:

 PRE-PROGRAMMED ROBOTS:
Pre-programmed robots are given commands beforehand and cannot
change their behavior while performing an action. These types of
robots are ideal for completing a single, repetitive task.

 HUMANOID ROBOTS:
Humanoid robots exhibit human-like physical features and even facial
expressions. Their human resemblance makes them a good fit for
service jobs that require face-to-face human interaction.
 AUTONOMOUS ROBOTS:
Autonomous robots can perform actions and make decisions without
human intervention. These robots depend on complex computers to
perceive and analyze their surroundings.

 TELE-OPERATED ROBOTS:
Tele-operated robots are remotely controlled by a human operator
through a wireless system like Wi-Fi. They are ideal for performing
high-risk actions in extreme environments.

 TELE-OPERATED ROBOTS:
Augmenting robots combine with the human body to supplement a
current ability or replace a lost ability. Examples like prosthetic legs
have improved people’s quality of life.
USES
Robots are used in many Industries but they are mainly used in two Industries which are given below:

FUTURE OF ROBOTICS
Thanks to improved sensor technology and more
remarkable advances in Machine Learning and
Artificial Intelligence, robots will keep moving from
mere rote machines to collaborators with cognitive
functions. These advances, and other associated fields,
are enjoying an upwards trajectory, and robotics will
significantly benefit from these strides.

We can expect to see more significant numbers of

increasingly sophisticated robots incorporated into
more areas of life, working with humans. Contrary to
dystopian-minded prophets of doom, these improved
robots will not replace workers. Industries rise and fall,
and some become obsolete in the face of new
technologies, bringing new opportunities for
employment and education.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, robotics is
revolutionizing the future of
work in a variety of industries.
From manufacturing and
logistics to healthcare and
education, robots are improving
efficiency, productivity, and
safety.
