 The equipment consists of a main unit, accessories and PC

software.
The main unit is the core of the equipment. It provides:
 􀂄 Overall system control;
 􀂄 System power supply;
 􀂄 Display;
 􀂄 Defibrillation and pacing;
 􀂄 AED ;
 􀂄 Man-mahcine interface;
 􀂄 Audible and visible alarms;
 􀂄 Multiple parameter measurements;

 Main Control System
 Serving as the core of the system, the main control system implements the
display, storage, printing, and review of parameters and waveforms, as well
as parameter algorithm processing.
 The integrated CPU and power management board consists of the MSP430
for power management and the AM3352 for main control. The MSP430
monitors the power status and controls the power-on/off; the AM3352
implements man-machine interaction, screen display, and AED algorithm.
 The main control module part and
the power management part
communicate with each other
through asynchronous serial ports.

 The therapy system implements the measurement of P-lead input ECG and
human body impedance, as well as the defibrillation and pacing functions.
 The pacing function is implemented by the optional pacing module.

 Factory Service
 To access the factory service menu, Press the Main menu button on the
equipment’s front panel. Select [Others>>]→ [Service Mode>>]→ enter the
required passwords.
 Password ： 332888

 Device Information
 Press the Main menu button on the equipment’s front panel. Select [Others>>]→
[Service Mode>>]→ enter the required passwords→ [Device Information] →
[Version]. . In the Device Information list, you can view the device information
such as software version, system status, and etc, as shown below.

 Checking Failure Code
 Press the Main Menu button on the equipment’s front panel.
Select [Others>>]→ [Service Mode>>]→ enter the required
passwords→ [Failure Code] to check error codes. This helps the
service personnel to identify failures.

 Troubleshooting
 Press and hold the [Event] hardkey, and then press the [Lead
Select] hardkey on the front panel, the following screen appears.

Observe the reading of “Lead

Stat”:
0 x 382: Paddles are
properly placed in paddle
tray.
0 x 182: The travel switch
indicating paddle status may
fail, but impedance is correct.
0 x 102 :Paddles are not
properly placed in paddle tray
and the impedance value is
not correct.

 Troubleshooting

 The most common failure is user test.

 Symptom ： Status indicator is flashing, Buzzer is ringing. User test
failure is on display.
 Reason ： Defibrillator/Monitor takes user test every day. If when it
takes user test, defibrillator is without External paddle or external paddle
don’t connect well, the user test will be fail.
 Solution ： Take user test again, and take Energy delivery test.

 Symptom ： Battery aging
 Reason ： Battery Cycle Counters exceed upper limit: Upper limit=150 cycles,
or Battery Capacity exceed lower limit: lower limit= 4000mAh （ full is
5600mAh ）
 Solution ： If battery meet one of the above conditions, replace the battery,
otherwise, contact Service ENG

 Disassembly and Repair
 Warning
 Before disassembling the equipment, be sure to eliminate the static
charges first . When disassembling the parts labeled with static-
sensitive symbols, make sure you are wearing electrostatic
discharge protection such as antistatic wristband or gloves to avoid
damaging the equipment.
 Properly connect and route the cables and wires when
reassembling the equipment to avoid short circuit.
 All the operations should be performed by qualified service
personnel only. Make sure to put on the insulating gloves during
service operations.

 Disassembly and Repair
 Before remove the therapy module, you must use the discharge
fixture to discharge the capacitor first. If you do not have a
discharge fixture, AC mains and remove batteries, Wait for at least
2 hours before removing the capacitor.

 Preparations for
Disassembly
 1.Turn on the unit, charge to 1J,
remove.Press LEAD state and
EVENT ,check the capacity of
RT cap1 and RT cap2. If voltage
is lower than 30v , it can be
taken apart. Or wait for 2H.
 2.Disconnect the AC power
source and remove both
batteries.

 NOTE ：
 1. Remove therapy module. Be noted that you need not to remove
the parameter panel assembly and MPM module assembly.
 2. Take off the Mode Select knob. Peel off the Mode label.
 3. Replace the old therapy module using the one with pacing
function in the upgrade kit.
 4. Replace the old Mode Select knob and Mode label using new
ones in the upgrade kit.
 5. Reassemble the equipment.
 6.If you upgrade PACE ,please do user test ,Manual Defibrillation
Test and Pacing Test.
