PART 1: TOPIC 1: Hometown

I was born and grew up in Binh Dinh, a province in central Vietnam. This
is a peaceful countryside with fresh air. My hometown people are very
friendly and willing to help each other. Most of them make a living by
farming and raising cattle and poultry. So the food is always fresh and
delicious. Although I have traveled to many places, I am still very proud
of where I live. The beautiful beaches, lush green fields, and majestic
mountains make Binh Dinh a wonderful place to call home. The culture is
rich, with traditional festivals and martial arts adding to the unique charm
of the region.
PART 1: TOPIC 2: Your family

My family consists of seven people: my parents, three older sisters, one

younger sister, and myself (simple sentence). My parents are farmers and
they work very hard to provide for our family (Compound sentence). My
older sisters are married and have their own lives, while my younger sister
is currently a student (Complex-compound sentence). When we lived
together, our family used to wake up and have meals together (Complex
sentence). However, since I moved to the city for school, we no longer
have the opportunity to sit down for family meals like we used to
(Compound-complex sentence). This makes me miss home and those
warm moments with my parents and siblings (Compound sentence).
Family is where I feel most proud and where I always feel loved and
accepted.(Complex sentence)
PART 1: TOPIC 3: Free time activities

Each person has a different taste. I love listening to music, watching

movies, and surfing the web in my free time. Music makes me feel relaxed
and comfortable. I often listen to light or playful songs. While listening to
music, I usually do housework so as not to waste time. From time to time, I
will select unique love movies to watch. Watching movies allows me to
experience many different emotions. I often watch Chinese series.
Sometimes, I go online on Facebook to chat with my friends and read
information on this social network. Today, Facebook gives users a lot of
interesting experiences, so I love it. Study time is stressful, so your free
time can be used for fun or doing things that you love.
PART 1: TOPIC 4: Learning English

There are many effective ways to learn English. For me, I always do all
the homework. I learn new words very often. Then, I try to understand
English tenses, English structures, model sentences, and more. Moreover, I
listen to podcast, news, songs, and other materials in English. I often speak
English with my friends in class. At the weekend, I often come to English
speaking clubs. I spend much time studying English at school as well as at
home. To sum up, we use the ways above to learn English the most
effectively.
PART 1: TOPIC 6: Staying healthy

Health is very important for everyone. If we are healthy, we can do many

things and enjoy life. One way to keep healthy is to exercise regularly.
Exercise can make our bodies stronger and prevent diseases. We can
exercise in many ways, such as playing sports, jogging, swimming, or doing
yoga. Exercise can also improve our mood and reduce stress. We should
exercise at least 30 minutes a day, three times a week, to stay fit and healthy.
Besides exercising, eating fruits and vegetables is also important for good
health. We should avoid drinking too many sugary drinks and staying up
late. These habits help us live a healthier and happier life.

consuming. They prefer to spend their time on personal activities like studying, hanging
out with friends, or enjoying hobbies. For example, parents might ask their children to
clean their rooms or help with cooking and cleaning the house. Meanwhile, the children
feel annoyed by these requests, seeing them as interruptions to their free time. This
difference in expectations can lead to arguments and stress in the family.

Hi …..,
I am writing this email to inform you about I’ve just moved into a new house in
District 2! It’s in a quiet area with lots of greenery, and it’s close to the city for
easy access.
The house is beautiful and moderm, with a small garden in the back where I can
relax. The rooms are bright and spacious, making it a comfortable place to live.
I’ve met the neighbors, and they are very friendly, making me feel right at home.
However, I wish the house had better internet connection—it's quite slow out
here. Also, during the move, one of my boxes got damaged, and a few items were
broken.
The house cost around 20 billion VND, which is a significant investment, but I’m
thrilled with it.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi Linda,
I’m writing this email to inform you about I’ve just moved into a new
apartment in the city center, and I’m really enjoying it because of the
spacious layout and convenient location.
However, there are a few things I’d like to change to better suit my taste. I
want to rebuild my backyard in a medieval style.
Recently, I met a new neighbor who is very friendly and helpful, which has
made me feel at home right away.
However, I wish the house had better internet connection—it's quite slow

The cost to pay each month is 7 million, but I’m thrilled with it.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Dear Linda,
I’m writing this email to thank you for your email and for trusting my advice.
To say fit, here are some tips that might help.
First, you can do planks, squats at home instead of going to the gym, which
will save time.
Second, many home exercises are simple, so you probably don’t need a
personal trainer-just follow video on Youtube.
Finally, you don’t need much equipment for home workouts. A rubber mat
and a few dumbbells, costing about 200,000 VND, are sufficient.
I hope you find these suggestion useful and I look forward to hearing about
your progress.
Best wishes,
Bora

Do you think that living with university accommodation be
more expensive than staying with a host family.
Dear Peter,
I hope you’re doing well! I’m planning a trip to UK, and I could really use
your advice since you know the place so well.
First of all, are there any important things I should know or prepare
before I get there? For example, local customs or travel tips?
Also, could you recommend a good hotel to stay at? I’m looking for
something comfortable and centrally located, preferably with good access
to public transport.
For dining, what’s your favorite restaurant in the area? I’d love to try
some local food, especially if there are any must-try dishes or specialties.
And finally, what are some must-see places or activities that you think I
shouldn’t miss? I’m interested in both popular attractions.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
