Speaking homework

Unit 2 :
PART 1:
1. What do u do to keep fit?
To good a keep fit, I usually do exercise everyday with an inspirational
person that I’m impressed in Youtube such as Hana Giang Anh or someone
else. In the weekend, I will hang out with my friends and walking together. I
think it is a good way to reduce stress and boost my energy.
2. Are you good at sports?
Not really, but I’m really keen on sports. I just do some simple exercise and
sometime play badminton with my sister in the park to refresh my mind
after a hard-working day.
3. What sports do you play?
As I said that some question before, I am a big fan of playing badminton.
You know, practicing a sport regularly does wonder for my health. And I
can meet and make friends, keep me in shape and bring many benefits to
my body.
4. In your opinion, what is more important, eating healthy food or doing
exercise?
For me, I think both of all are important. Because you know, eating healthy
food and doing exercise are beneficial to health and the lack of either of
these will reduce the effectiveness to have a healthy body. Moreover, It
helps to lower the risk of modern diseases such as diabetes, obesity and
heart attack.
5. What is the most popular sport in your country?
Well, I confidently to say it is football. It is considered the king of sports. It
has 2 teams play in a football pitch, a competitive sports that not only
famous in Vietnam but also influence all over the world. Everyone in my
country all know football and interested in it because the animated
atmosphere it brings back.
PART 2:
I can instantly think of the most exciting contest I’ve ever witnessed through
television. Well, I am not a great fan of football but It is so popular in my country
so I still watch a little bit about it. An impressed match that I still remember is the
match between Vietnam and Uzbekistan at Thuong Chau stadium. It was a
historic football match of the Vietnamese national football with the guidance of
coach Park Hang Seo. When I watched this match with my family, we felt
suspense every minutes. The players did a wonderful under the harsh weather,
full of snow. With the spirit of competition full of enthusiasm, the players
brought victory and champion trophy to the country. In that day, many people
felt over the moon and picked up all the stresses with national flag. That was a
special day. Eventhough I am not really keen on football, I still proud of this
moment. And I think that football is not only a sport but also a part of our life.
Football bring great motivation to a thousands of people. That’s all I want to say.
PART 3:
1. What are the best way to keep fit?
With my knowledge, I think the best way to keep fit is do exercise and have a
balanced diet including plenty of fresh fruit and vegetable. You can play some
sports that you interested in, and limited the fatty food to reduce some
disease.
2. How can people be encouraged to stay healthy?
To help people stay healthy, I think the best way is by talking to them about
the health benefits. Or some school and locals should invite a nutritionist to
talk and answer some questions that help them understand.
3. Do you think people start worrying more about their health as they become
older?
Yes, absolutely. Because when people become older their heath do not better
than when they were young. So It is the reason why many old people usually
walking and jogging everyday in the park to keep their stable health.
4. What is the best way of helping people with an addiction?
I don’t know to much about this problem, so I think the best way of helping
them is bring them to doctor, or calling a helpline in a emergency situation.
5. Do you think most people consider exercise a chore or do they find it fun?
I think it depend on each opinion’ people. As long as they are comfortable
with themselves and help them stay in shape.
6. What is the most popular form of exercise in your country?
I think it divided into 2 groups. For the young generation, they usually hit the
gym or playing a sport such as football. And for the older generation, they
prefer walking or jogging at the park along with nature.
UNIT 1:
PART 1:
1. Where do you come from?
Well, I’m come from Nghe An that is the biggest province in Vietnam and
have many famous scenes such as Uncle Ho hometown, Cua Lo beach,…
2. Do you have a large or small family?
Yeah, I live in a small family also mean immediate family which is full
happiest and cozy. And my family have 4 people : my parents, my brother,
and me.
3. What do you like to do together as a family?
As a family, I just want to do some housework with family member and
sometime just sit together and talk some stories that make everyone feel
happy and it also help me get on well with my parents and my younger
brother.
4. Who are you closest to in your family?
Well, you know in my family I get on well with my mother. People said that
I take after my mother and I think so. Me and my mom have a lot of
common things, about love, food cuisine, some problem in life. She also
teach me many things that I haven’t known before.
5. What does your father do?
My father is an engineer who I am very proud.
PART 2: Today I’m gonna share with you about my grandma that I am very
admire. You know, I am lucky to have a grandmother that she taught me a lot of
things in my life. She is a retired teacher and has over 30 years teaching
experience. My grandma has a medium height with a round face. She really kind
and affectionate woman. She always patiently with me, always give me some
advice when I needed, and always stand by me. So she has a major influence on
me. We have a lot of same ideas about books, some shows on TV, and many other
issues. Everyone loves her because she usually tries to help others whenever she
can. I really look up to her and admire my grandma.

Unit 4_The world around us.
Part 1

1. What’s the weather like in your country each season?

Well, you know Vietnam is a tropical country, so there are 4 seasons: spring,
summer, autumn and winter and each season has its own characteristics. In
spring, the weather feels like comfortable, trees and flowers start blossom,
lush green country. When summer comes, it becomes sweltering and wet,
sometimes it has drizzling. And talk abt autumn I think it start in August and
the weather become mild and sunny but it doesn’t burn my skin. Finally winter
is the coldest season. The weather is freezing cold, dry and cloudy. And
everyone wrap up warm.

2. What type of weather do you like best?

Umm, I think each weather has its own unique and for me, I think when it has
a little bit sunny and windy in the summer is the most beautiful moment. It
make me feel comfy and refresh myself.

3. Does the weather ever affect what you do?

I think about this issue, the weather affect a little bit. Let me give an example
to talk clearly this problem. You know in winter, the weather has drizzling and
freezing cold. In that moment, I just want wrap up warm and hit the sack or
become a couch potato.

4. Does it rain a lot in your hometown?

Well, you know Vietnam is a tropical country so in summer it receives quite a


great amount of precipitation every year. So in my hometown almost in
summer usually rain. Sometime it rain cats and dogs that make some people
under the weather.

5. Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown?

Yeah, for sure. As a matter of fact, rain often causes severe traffic
congestion, especially when there is heavy downpour. People should
expect to be stuck for hours in a traffic jam. I’m not exactly sure why, but
it’s possibly because vehicles tend to move slower in the rain.

1. Tell me about some of the environmental problems that are affecting countries
these days?

2. Do you think that governments around the world are doing enough to tackle the
problems?

3. Why do some people not consider environmental problems to be serious?

I think there are several reasons for that. In some cases it is simply because people are
not affected on a day-to-day basis so it does not concern them. They just see it on the
news affecting other people. It does not mean they do not care but they will soon
forget about it.

Unit 5_Communication

Part 1.

1. How do you usually keep in touch with members of your family?

Well, you know currently I live and study in Hanoi. So when I have free time I
usually call video for my parent via social media such as FB, Zalo,..

2. Do you think men chat more than women?

Um I think I am not sure for the question. It depend on each person about
how they manage their time because both of the them tend to use internet.

3. Why are social networks so popular nowadays?


Because you know nowadays social networks bring to many benefits to our
life. It helps them connect with many people who live far from, make some
new friend or foreign friend and opportunity to board their knowledge.

4. How can encourage shy children to talk more?

Well, I’m not a psychologist so my knowledge doesn’t know too much this
issue. So in my opinion, I think to encourage a shy children to talk more, the
first thing is understand that children, usually talking and listening about your
stories that difficult to confess with each other.

5. Which languages do you speak?

Well, I try to become a bilingual that help me become a global citizen.


Currently, I am studying English language department , I think it is a
opportunity to board my knowledge.

6. Do you think it’s important for children to learn a foreign language?

Yeah, what a interesting way to help develop an “ear” for the language and
achieve better pronunciation in children. I think that make them more
intelligent and more active when learning a language they have a chance to
join more activity outdoor.

7. When did you start learning a foreign language?

Actually, when I was 9 years old, my school started teaching English language

Describe a piece of technology that you find useful.

Nowadays, the mobile phone plays a major role in our lives, especially young
people which brings many advantages to us but also contains some drawbacks.
Here are a few benefits of using smart phone. First, I think smartphones are
a tool that makes learning and working easier. For example, it can take note
anything that it's important for me. Easily search for information . Having a
smart phone makes it much more convenient to check your email, social
media, so on . After a day of studying or working tired , smart phone can
keep yourself entertained . For example , you can read the news , play
games , listen to music or watch a movie. With a smart phone , you can take
a photo anywhere you want . You’re connected to the Internet all times.

But as I mentioned , smart phone brings many benefits to us but also


contains some disadvantage. We usually spend too much time on them , it
can be addictive and make you isolated from the real world. It also affects
our health, especially the eyes and it’ caused insomnia. In learning, most of
students are not focus on the lesson and then it affects scores. Especially,
there’s a Rising Risk of Cybercrime.
In conclusion, smartphones are necessary for our modern live today.

1. Nowadays, people are using their smartphones and computers to communicate


with each other. Do the advantages overweigh the disadvantages?

Well, I think with the advance of technology also

Unit 7_Hobby
Part 1:

1. Do you have any hobbies?

Yes, absolutely. I think each person will have some hobbies. For me I am crazy
about listening music and cooking. It makes me feel comfy and boost my energy.

2. What hobbies are popular in your country?


Let’s me think. I think doing exercise and watching football is the most popular
hobby in my country.
3. Is it important to have a hobby?
In my view, I think yes, everyone should have a hobby for themselves. Not
only helps you to enhance your life but also helps you have more opportunity
to connect with people who share your interests.
4. What sort of hobbies would you like to try in the future?
For me, I think if I have more spare time in the future I will taking up
crocheting something like crochet a hat, a puff flower or a scrunchy.

Hi teacher, today I’m gonna talk about my hobby that I enjoy. Well, I am a big fan of
music, I want to listening to music every day. You know I like listening to many
genres of music like Vietnamese music, K-pop music and US-UK music. You know,
listening to different music make feel happy and elvated mood. Well, try to imagine
when you have just come home from school or workplace and you feel bored, you
just turn on my smartphone and pick randomly song that energetic rhythm. I think it
is a fantastic moment. It helps me blow off some steam after hard-working day. Not
only listening to the catchy tune of the song but also understanding the thoughtful
lyrics.
