We went to crackers barrel in nampa yesterday and ate everyone that had dumplings got sick. We waited over an hour for our food service was terrible. So I called this morning to tell them what happened and all they said was sorry. Will never go there again.

The staff treat customers poorly in addition to the staff not knowing how their own app works. I was hung up on twice when trying to get a problem resolved.

I was so very disappointed when my grandson and I went to Cracker Barrel in Cookeville, Tenn on 8-31-2024. We went around 2 P.M. and apparently they were getting rid of their leftover breakfast items and lunch items. My grandson got pancakes which are normally delicious, but these I believe had been under a heat lamp because they were terrible. They did not even look good. I got chicken strips and they were so hard I could hardly cut them with a knife. They looked like pieces of scrap chicken that they battered and dropped in hot oil. My fries were soggy and my coleslaw tasted soured. I have always liked Cracker Barrel but this meal was terrible and at a cost of around 30.00. I did not say anything to the waitress but I should have asked to speak to the manager. I did not. If they keep serviing meals like this they will not be open much longer. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but that was terrible to even serve to anyone. I do have my receipt, it just says at the top Cracker Barrel, CB0015, Cookeville, TN.

We stop in Florida City, Fl we ordered 4 piece fried chicken is was so dry wife I I couldn't even chew it. Sides were Mac n cheese with bacon on it not sure what came out on top but it was horrible tasting. The other side was cheesy hash browns that was cold and in cooked. We well never go to Cracker Barrel again they used to be very good

Snotty. Unfriendly hostess. Gave us breakfast menus, it was 11 o'clock n we asked for lunch menus, she would not give them to us. We waited 15 minutes to be waited on and had to ask the server for lunch menus, he finally brought us 1. After ordering, we found out that they no longer offer carrots and several menu items. It took 30 minutes for our meal to get there. Service was bad, new menu is nothing like it used to be. We won't be going back

We went to this location for lunch on 6/30/2024. Another customer had their PET dog with them at the table. This was not a service dog - this was a pet! This was a standard poodle not wearing any type of service saddle or vest. This pet was being fed food from the table with it's head on the table. At one point, the dog became restless and began to bark. The restaurant manager that I spoke with did not care and says they allow dogs inside the restaurant at the table. I also contacted corporate about this and the same response was given. So, if you like to take your pet out for dinner, this is your place! Don't pay any attention to the county health department ordinance banning pets in any restaurant - bring your pet and enjoy!

Waited over 20min to pay for food that was fair. One cashier when we got in line. The line was five people deep. Second cashier shows up and started checking out folks behind us (UNACCEPTABLE). Called for a manager, but he wasn't sure how to deal with the situation at first. After a few minute discussion, the manager agreed the cashier was wrong. However, the cashier insisted she wasn't wrong and there wasn't a problem. HORRIBLE customer relations.

Biscuits were hard as rocks, even butter and microwave didn't help! Loaded baked potato had unrecognizable meat and everything was cold as ice!

I was impressed when I sat at our table, the silverware was in a little brown paper package which I thought was a good idea for cleanliness, Adam was our waiter, he was very attentive, polite, the food was extremely good! We had breakfast, it was filling and hot, and looked appetizing. We were very impressed, and will go there again. The country store also had very good workers they were pleasant, helpful, we were looking around and they suggested we check out the 70% off rack if we wanted, so we ended up buying something and we were just looking around.I think it's the employees that also helps the business. That cracker barrel in bourbon has very good employees.

Meal was fine. Waitress was very efficient. Everything went well. Afterward I was looking at the check and noticed that a glass of tea was $3.19 and a cup of coffee was $2.99. For that amount of money I could've made three gallons of tea and six pots of coffee. It's this type of "sneaky gouging" that has made me decide to stop going to such establishments. I understand profits must be made but this is extremely excessive. Your company should reconsider this pricing idea. The food is already overpriced so why squeeze more out of folks on these absurd drink prices.

Her staff is terrible. I've been to many restaurants but I've never seen anything like this. When she took orders it looked normal, but when she brought water to serve, she set down the glass so loudly that I was shocked but it was okay. While waiting for the food, I went to look at the clothes. When I come back to the table The food had already been arranged. But I suspect some of my food fell off the plate. So I asked my husband and he said that the previous employee brought it in and it was loud. Causing some food to bounce off the plate It shows that there is no training for employees. The service staff is very bad.
Tip for consumers:

I sent a gift card to a friend in October 2023 and the local Cracker Barrel in Springfield Mo refused to honor it. Multiple attempts to contact customer service have been fruitless. Do no buy Gift cards from Cracker Barrel! Don't waste your money.

Spent 80 yes 80 for basically nothing at Cracker Barrel through Uber Eats and the worst I ever had. Charge 7 for little tiny piece of dried out cake. The dumplings were so dry and stuck together. Soup spilled in bag and peach cobbler was just peaches. Portion were so small. Sad to see this restaurant go down the tube.

Would have left 0 stars if I could. Worst food ever! Whatever happened to Cracker Barrel? It used to have such good food. Fish was supposed to be batter fried, It was tasteless with bread crumbs sprinkled on it. Carrots were covered in sugar. Hush puppies tasteless. Dumplings were just flour and water and heated up. Inedible! The only good item was the fries. Friend's food was dried out chicken. Tasted like it was re-heated in the microwave about 10 times. I was asked at the register how the food was and I said "Horrible". They called assistant manager. They didn't care when I told them at the register. They said we had to have told our server and since we didn't, they couldn't help us. I asked how would I know that? Do you have a sign posted anywhere or on the menus to let customers know that? Manager wouldn't answer me.

Always loved CB's Turkey dinner, but last night was the ultimate disappointment.
Small portion of turkey (looked old and reheated), ice cold stiff mashed potatoes, no stuffing. It was TERRIBLE. The best thing about our experience was the sweet and courteous server.
We used to pay $8.99 for this Thursday special. It is now $14.99.
We won't be going back anytime soon. Truly a shame as it used to be so good.

Mount Laurel NJ. Horrible experience from beginning to end. It's a crime the garbage they serve customers on Thanksgiving. Fake turkey roll pumped with sodium and who knows what else, disgusting stuffing I had to spit out, smashed green beans and mashed sweets (no way a casserole). Total incompetence from the start. No gravy. Greed & Mis management has taken over a favorite place. Horrible food, horrible service, I will never go back. I want my money back.

Take out order for sampler platter of ham, meatloaf and chicken and dumplings plus sides. Arrived at my house and put food on plate. I started to eat only to find a cockroach in the chicken and dumplings. Cracker Barrel manager apologized and started that they try to avoid things like this. Gave me a credit. Store is located in Greenville NC. Wonder what the health department will say about this?

I am so sad. My favorite on the road restaurant choice will no longer be Crackle Barrel. The removal of the fried catfish dinner from the menu is a real shame. They fried catfish better than any restaurant. Their recipe for pinto beans has changed in a horrible way. It looked and tasted like they added ketchup to them, not southern. All of this added to the fact that service is slow to non-existent service from ordering, food arrival, refills of drink, any needs such as sauces, take out boxes check to be able to leave, takes for ever or has to be run down in person from the back.
This is not just a one time experience it has been happened for over a couple of years. If they can not do a good job then it would be better for them to close all together. For me I will not be returning.

We ordered three thanksgiving turkey meals (take out) on Thanksgiving. We received one piece of turkey ( the website photo showed three large portions of turkey). Runny sweet potatoes, runny dressing, green beans, a dinner roll and the worse pumpkin pie I have ever had.
These dinners cost ~$50.00 plus we purchased a $12.99 apple pie.
I want to add when we went inside the restaurant to pay for the dinners and the pie there was a man working behind the register that had body order so bad I thought I was going to vomit. He was about 45 and had long greasy hair and his jeans were so low you could see at least 4 inches of his butt crack. Why on earth would they allow someone to work with customers looking and smelling that bad?
We complained about our dinners to Customer Service and never heard back.

My wife and I drove an hour to eat at the Herculaneum location. We come here every so often and typically have great service, especially when Joe is our server. Today we sat at table 142 with Katrina B. As our server. She made contact with us twice, and we sat for well over 15 minutes without a refill. At one point I asked for creamer for my coffee, in which seemed to inconvenience her. During the approximate 45 minutes that we were seated, we were spoken to twice by Katrina. Katrina stopped and checked in with a nearby table in front of us at least 7 times without checking on us or others beside and behind us. The table directly in front of us appeared to be a friend of hers as she stopped to talk with her several times. After requesting our ticket to pay and leave before our food was served by another employee, Katrina approached us, laughed and simply stated "have a great day" before walking off.

Cracker Barrel's new menu is a real disappointment. Gone are several of the previous menu items, turkey sausage is now chicken sausage, with an up charge of $1.00 per link. Gone is the eggs in a basket menu offering. Service has slowed to almost no service at all in the three locations I visit. Well…. Good by and best of luck.

Family restaurant?! Ha. Disgruntled family maybe. My entire visit was sparkling. I remember more of the overly obnoxious loud lady managers laughing& parading around having conversations of how incompetent the men are, while, the wait staff is either holding the walls up or running around half paying attention blaming the cooks or other servers for bringing us the wrong orders. But it's all fun & games for your management team in the back as you can hear cleary through the entire restaurant. Maybe take a break from worrying about their appearance, joking around& complaining about each other in customer ear shot. I've been to several cracker barrels& never thought negatively until we came to Kingman, AZ. JUST DRIVE TO VEGAS! You'll actually be treated like a paying customer instead of a inconvenience that carries a wallet.

Like some food items but they are hit and miss. One problem is food not getting to you hot. The plates should at least be room temp or preheated before adding hot food to them. Over the years some of my favorite items get deleted from the menu. Red eye gravy, etc. etc. The white biscuit gravy is tasteless. Bill ends up too high, seen some sneak in add ons thought came with the meals. Small cup of coffee was over $3. Was very watered down. Looked like herbal tea. Portions should be smaller for this and other reasons. Such as you can not reheat doggie bag, eggs or fish a second time. Nice look inside but inconsistent food quality.

I called 4 times today regarding the Thanksgiving to go dinners. Each time I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes, waiting for a manager, and nobody ever came back on the line. What is the problem? Doesn't Cracker Barrel care about customer service anymore? Do you only serve the walk-in business now?
