“I want to challenge those who give negative reviews - the business deserves true research”

Garth W.

Hank M says it must be fake because it doesn't have a fancy storefront. I did the same search, but for the correct address, 2769, not his 2760 W 15th Street. (Google Maps does show the wrong address sometimes compared to the one you enter, so Hank probably made no mistake). It's true it doesn't have a fancy storefront, but it is shown in Google Maps named 'Food to Live, Online superfoods store' at that address. An online store does not need to pay for a fancy storefront to make it valid. I have purchased products from them that seem very good quality - for example 8 lbs of organic broccoli sprouting seeds have normal USDA certified organics labeling. The seeds sprout well. This setup would be hard to fake across their product line. I think they are reliable.

I feel very lucky that I didn't order anything from this company. I contacted them to find out if they carried organic unsulfured yellow raisins or sultanas and if they coated them with sunflower oil. I guess they couldn't be bothered to respond I wasn't worth bothering with. The company is owned by the Lexunder inc corporation owner Alexander Melnick.

In 1.5 c. I sifted out: plastic, yes you read that right; a weed pricker, tons of twigs & seeds... not just dried elderberries. The elderberries were also very small & a lot of them were discolored, yellow or red!

Tip for consumers:
Not a trustworthy source. Horrible quality. And uncertain of other organic material, so unsafe to utilize.

Bad customer service which even don't want to fix their errors and problems. I have purchased a product which was stale, however after talking and communicating with them via phone and email and got pictures to fulfil their request, They didn't even answer my email which I asked for compensation.

In January I purchased an eight pound bag of black sesame seeds from this company. After I tried it, I found out it has bad ugly smell and taste. I don't know if it is black sesame seeds or not, for which I don't dare to eat. When I ask for refund, their answer is it is past 30 days. This company can't be trusted.

Tip for consumers:
After several purchases I believe Food to Live is honest and reliable.
I also checked the broccoli seeds experience of others, and see on their own website they have over 80 reviews, all positive. I entered my review, and they promptly sent a note of appreciation.
It's hard enough to find good companies without seeing negative reviews, mostly with no substantial evidence.

Earlier this year I placed an order for one of the products on sale. The company emailed me that they had my order ready to ship. Several days later I was emailed that my order was cancelled due to my failure to correct incorrect information. I rechecked my order and found all information was correct. No problem, I would reorder the product. However the price had nearly doubled, so I did not reorder. Thinking about the cancellation, it became clear to me that the actual reason for cancellation was due not to "missing information" rather was because Food to Live did not want to ship items at the price they had been ordered at and instead of saying that this was the case, decided to try to say my "Incorrect" order was my error. I suspect this company is rotten to the core.

I made a few orders with this company and I think it's safe to say Food to Live provides excellent customer service. My orders arrived promptly and my maca powder tastes very fresh. And customer service responds fast.

I received a pound of organic Medjool Dates as a gift in a gift basket. They appeared moldy when I opened them. They were well within the Best Before Date. I contacted Food to Live, gave them the Lot # and Best Before Date, and sent a picture that they requested. I asked them if the dates should have a white substance on them. They told me it could be sugar or possibly mold, so I should not eat them. They refused to give me a replacement package because I couldn't give them the order number or the name of the customer. I explained that I received them as a gift in a Yankee Swap so I didn't have that information. I hated to throw them out but I didn't dare eat them. I am very disappointed with the customer service of this company.

The company does not have a satisfaction guarantee.

I made a cashew nuts order from food to live. Those Cashew nuts are of high quality, I use it in many sweets, they were well flavoured. Little bit Costly.

While the product is fine, I found out after I ordered, from what appeared to be an independent business site, that it is processed thru Amazon. This is unacceptable, deceptive business practice.

When I rinse my long grain brown rice, it turned muddy brown. I then had to rinse them 5 times to have it cleared. Do NOT buy this product.

They have some of the best selection & they at least try to make their stuff higher quality that most keep in mind with the criticism i am about to unveil, this is still the freshest company I've purchased from in the hardships of 2022 when EVERY food co. Is having issues... ill start by saying... u never know which bag u open will be the quedtionable one. For ex in my 1st order... while the cranberries, brazil nuts, walnuts & blueberries smelled & tasted very fresh, the mangoes & pecans smelled immensely fermented. Idk if this was intentional, as some people do sell dried fermented fruit at a pricy rate... similar to the idea of kombucha... but there was no clear description saying it was INTENDED to be fermented. And that's what worried me. Probably was safe to eat as it did not smell spoiled at all just fermented. I was too weirded out to test it but our laying hens got a very expensive snack...(a small bit of fermented things is actually good probiotics for their natural digestistion.) If they would've labeled it "dried fermented mangoes" I would've said ok it's supposed to b this way its safe for humans. But I saw no such obv. Labeling making me think it wasn't properly preserved.
