The NC Zoo is open year-round except for Christmas Day. Hours are 9am-4pm from April 1 to October 31 and 9am-5pm from November 1 to March 31. Located in Asheboro, North Carolina, the zoo sits on 500 acres and is home to over 1000 animals and 200 species, including exhibits in Africa, North America, and an aviary. Since opening to the public in 1979, conservation has been a key focus, aiming to reduce waste and conserve natural resources.
