What is the song about, what is message of the song?
The song starts off with Giggs looking back at his life when he was a “youth”, in other words when he
was younger. Then the song goes into different events that he got involved in when he was younger.
Towards the end of the song he comes back to reality and tells us about his current situation which
he describes as the “bidding war”. This involves him believing people are now jealous of him. This
leads to him talking about living the fame life, being rich, and being on TV.
Who is the intended audience for this production?
Black female 15-25 and black male 17-29
What is the message or idea you hope to communicate to the audience as they watch the finished
production?
What will happen in the production? Be Specific
We aim to set the production in two main locations – in Central London and at Orpington College. In
Central London we aim to record the main tourist location such as Piccadilly Circus. While in London
we will also be recording our artist singing in front of the camera. This will include different camera
shots like close ups of his face, long shots, and extreme close up parts of his body. At Orpington
college we will be recording our artist singing with a group of young black boys behind him. They will
all be wearing similar outfits. This will be branded, dark tracksuits and hoodies. An example of a
brand that they will be wearing is Nike.
In addition to the two main locations we will also be recording small scenes. This will include a shot of
his mother and his brother which he briefly talks about in verse one.
Where specifically will you shoot? Who will be appearing in the production?
We will be shooting at Southbank, Studio, outside Orpington College, Piccadilly, at a big open car
park, and at someone’s kitchen. In the production we will have different actors, actresses, and a
group of boys to sing with Giggs. Our actress will include Bukky, and Stephanie. Bukky will be acting
as the artist’s girlfriend while Stephanie will be acting as the artist’s mother. The will not have any
scripts. The group of boys will be singing along to the chorus with the artist.
