FIRST AID VERSUS FIRST AIDER
First aid is the first treatment given to a person after an accident before the arrival of
the medical personnel while first aider is the person who has received the certificate
from an authorized training body indicating that he or she is qualified to render first
aid.

THINGS A FIRST AIDER SHOULD USE
WHEN THERE IS NO FIRST AID KIT ITEMS
 Smooth plastics to cover hands in absence of medical glove
 To dress a first aider can use a soft clean cloth if gauze pad is not there
 The hands can be used to detect the hotness and coldness of a person in absence
of thermometer
 A clean soft cloth can be used to apply lotions in absence of cotton wool
